I found a round peach pill with P75 on one side and nothing on the other in my teenage son's room. I've been looking around the web and no one seems to know what it is. I need to find out fast because my 4 year old was in his room snooping around the other day.

Verwon is 100% correct my dr prescribes me those to take for my back pain they work ok for pain.you will be really disappointed if you are planning to take them to catch a buzz the only you can get a buzzz off them is to take them with three or four 30 mg oxycodone

This pill is used mainly for arthritis or back pain. It is more or less an advanced form of Ibuprofen.

It is Dicofenate which is a pain pill 75mg. Type in Pill P75 and you will get your explanation.

If someone takes 3- 4 30mg oxycodone, they have a serious narcotic problem, as this is a large doses at once. I don't even see the need for the non- narctic drug.

If the P is above the 75 then it is a non-narcotic pain pill to mostly help with back pain. However definitely not intended for young children I would imagine. I'm prescribed them. My best guess is one of your teenage sons friends thought it was something great when really in the end it's just going to make their stomachs upset if they don't take it with food. Not to make light of your situation but if it is the same as I am prescribed then that's what it is.

I too was given this for Pain, carpel tunnel before I had surgery and during surgery recovery
My Adult son was given this to take on the onset of migraines
To also be an antacid sure seems odd.
I know same meds are used for different things but this seems off.
One bottle reads SOD EC 75 & the other reads without that added.
I googled to see diff and there doesn't seem to be much of one??

I would be mostly concerned that your son is taking prescription drugs that don't belong to him to try to feel high. Never mind that, this drug wont do that.

If all you found was a generic Zantac then you probably have nothing to worry about. Think back to when you were a teenager. Would you have wanted your parents searching through you bedroom? Just something to think about.

It's NOT for migraines or any other kind of pain. To be used for acid is NOT strange since this is an acid reducer. The pill this woman found is a generic for Zantac. Next time your in pain go to a drug store and buy some Zantac, it will obviously work for you.

Obviously you have never been in pain. My wife had surgery and was given 5 40mg. Oxycontin/day. Without those 5 pills/day she would have been in unbearable pain. Even with the 5 OC's she had severe pain but they helped. When she stopped taking them the pain was still very severe but not unbearable. She took them for 8 months and she definitely needed them. Maybe some day you or someone you love will have a "Narcotic problem" because they had surgery. Maybe then you'll understand better and won't talk about something you know nothing about.
