Round Orange Suboxone An 415

I have a round orange pill with AN on the top and 415 underneath. I'm pretty sure its a generic suboxone, but how do I take it? Do I swallow it or let it dissolve under my tongue?

Hi Teresa,

Just to confirm, the round orange pill in description is in fact a generic Suboxone tablet; containing 8mgs of Buprenorphine + 2mgs of Naloxone.

Manufacturer: Amneal Pharmaceuticals

As far as proper dosing goes, the guidelines state that sublingual tablets should be placed under the tongue until it is completely dissolved. Apparently, swallowing the tablets can reduce the bioavailability of the drug itself.

However, you may want to discuss this more with your doctor first, since dosing instructions can be somewhat patient specific, depending on the case.

It doesn't feel like normal. It kind of feels like your dissolving a regular pill under your tounge. But, I just dosed for the first time with these generics. We will see how they work :)
