Round Orange Pill Adderall With 28 And Crescent Moon
Updatedthat pill is manufactured by actavis pharmaceuticals. it is indeed a 30 mg adderal IR. It is in our drug database, Micromedex-pill identification. Hope this helps
My Doctor started prescribing 30Mg. Adderall for me in June ('14); as opposed to the 20's I'd been taking for about 10 years. The first prescription was a large thinner pill with an hOh on one side and was cross scored on the other, which seemed to work ok.
Yesterday the pharmacy gave me (what I'm assuming after considerable research) is "Actavis 30 Mg.", round, peach colored, smaller in diameter and slightly thicker, a crescent imprint by a 28. The other side is a single score, with indents scored in the crossing position.
They don't seem to be working. I was wondering if anyone else that's taken these pills has had a similar experience or not? I had a similar experience with a 20 Mg., bright pink generic; that wasn't working well for anyone, to the point of the Dr.'s having to raise my dose by 25%. ? Thanks, I'd appreciate anyone's input.
Hi Keith,
I haven't taken this medication personally, but I think I can help explain one feasible reason why you might be getting less relief from that particular tablet. The difference in efficacy that patients experience upon switching from one manufacturer to another, has a lot to do with the inactive ingredients that add bulk to the tablet's composition. From what I understand, there are certain binders/fillers that aren't able to fully metabolize in our systems; so perhaps only a portion of the medicine is being released at any given time, or in some cases I've heard, may end up passing through stool partially undigested.
Is your doctor also aware of their lack of efficacy? Maybe he can make a request to a pharmacy that you only use a specific manufacturer. Just a thought anyways.. Hope this helps!
Keith,
David is right, the filler/binder is the trouble with a lot of different medication. Many of us have a horrible time with KVK Tech Inc. oxycodone. The filler/binder doesn't release the pain medication into our central nervous system. That may be the problem you are having with these pills.
Thank you, that was very enlightening. Someone mentioned eating a Tums with it, which would make the medication absorb more quickly. I'll try that , maybe it will offset the change. The Doctor closed at noon on that Friday, so I wasn't able to mention it then. I'll see what they say on Monday.
In the meantime I checked in here for some ideas and I appreciate your input very much.
Thanks,
Keith
Thanks for your input Susie, that makes allot of sense. I appreciate your input.
Thanks,
Keith
I think I saw that, I just didn't see the picture to know for sure. But now I know and thanks for your input.
Thanks,
Keith
I just got the orange crescent "28" 30mgs today, they work completely fine. Also, the pink generic versions personally worked the best of any tablet versions I've been prescribed. It's all in ur head if you ask me. Try switching to vivance lol then you can say they're not working!
The Actavis Pharma 30 mg. did not work for me. Also, Aurolife Pharma 15mg. did not work.
I got these today. I was on 3 of the 30 mg corepharmas which aren't my favorite either but I was used to them because my usual pharmacy carried it but they can't order Adderall for the next day like they do Dexedrine for some reason so I went to a different place. I didn't think they worked because I didn't notice them kick in like I do the pink ones but I ended up with more of a lack of appetite and also cleaned my entire house and organized a lot.
It did make me a little b****ier than any others but I like the outcome of the day so far and the anxiety is a little different than usual but even though I didn't notice that forehead tingling I usually do with most of them initially, the outcome of my day suggests that they work well. I had no dry mouth or jaw clenching or the usual "feel" of it so I didn't notice it at first. I might stay with this brand if it holds up like this. I am not a fan of the pink ones but they work better now than they did in 2005. In 2005, the pink ones were horrible and gave me diarrhea and made me sweaty, tired and nauseous. I even called them the "stinky pinkies". I haven't had the Aurobindo brand yet so far and Barr and Sandoz have some differences too but both worked good for me too even though both feel a tad different too.
I was also given the 30mg IR Adderall made my Actavis today and I've been used to taking the Core manufacturer. I have to say that so far I haven't felt these at all. I'm not sure what it is but I for sure prefer Core.
They ended up being useless for me overall. Only for a couple of weeks did I notice a slight change. I am on the XRs again and those actavis generics are as useless but only certain chains carry that brand in my area so I am safe.
I have been on the same Adderall script for the last 8 years and have never had an issue (30 mg, twice daily). I am predominantly given the bright pink round pills with "Cor 136" imprinted, or every once in a while I will get the peach/orange colored, oval shaped pills with "b 974" imprinted. Target switched manufacturers and I was given the Activis 30mg orange pills with the crescent shape and "28". I thought I was going crazy because it felt as though I took a 10mg dose at most and was only lasting between 2-2.5 hours! I have a very difficult time functioning at work without my Adderal and would just keep taking more as it wore off. I finally went to my doctor and he freaked a little when I told him I was taking 3-4 pills per day just to get through the work day. I had never had an issue before with the pink pills or oval orange pills and was very frustrated. There are only a few pharmacies in our county, all of which are now using this manufacturer for generic Adderall.
He decided to have me try 30mg time release during the day and take a regular 30mg pill late afternoon. I am hesitant about the time release because when I tried the XRs in college I had a very strange reaction where my skin would turn extremely orange. It looked as though I got a hack job spray-tan. I am going to try the new script tomorrow, so I hope all goes well!
I agree with you 100% about them not seemig to work. I thought it was just me. I've been presiscribed for 10 years and the meds have always helped. They turned my life around. Until my pharmacy started carrying these weird crescent symbol 28 pills. I don't know what or why but they don't seem to work at all for me.
There have been recalls and many legal suits. Do the research for Actavis Totowa
Don't work for me either. Maybe we need to petition all of our pharmacies to go back to the other ones.
I was just given these Friday and within a couple of days felt similar to what happens when I don't take my usual adderall for a couple of days. The new insurance my employer switched to no longer covers the name brand so I was given this generic at CVS. I was agitated, anxious, foggy brain, and honestly downright weepy. Made me feel like a wreck to the point I actually had to call into work because I am a manager in a high volume, customer service centric facility and was affected to the point I was concerned I couldn't perform key functions of my job. I am pretty outraged that this is considered acceptable- especially in medications that affect you on a neurological level.
It's not the brand it's the change of medication, whether it be 10mgs more or not. Your body and mind which is most important the mental tells you they're not working, and they won't work. Give them time it's the same thing either way..... Good luck....
They definetly do not work for me! The pink ones don't either. Can't even feel that I took anything.
No, you are wrong!! You don't take Adderall and that's obvious because you would know the Actavis 28s are total garbage!!
The actavis generic brand reminds me of how the cor pharma would cause me to get physically ill. Cor was forced by the FDA to remedy their former substandard generic adderall and now they are much more effective and similar to other generics. I know I am not crazy, I know my body, and I know how my body normally is affected by adderall, and I know that I should not feel fatigued with intense malaise and irratiblity that forces me to withdraw and isolate from the world when I take my medication. I feel as though this actavis brand is toxic to some degree personally because it makes me feel physically ill. I'm honestly pissed and will be filing a complaint with this drug maker. And if I get told once again by either a pharmacist or actavis drug rep that there is no difference in generics; first I am gonna say, "so you think I'm lying or do you think I'm stupid, no, you probably think its some kind of placebo effect or maybe you think that even after taking one of these pills thinking they were like my previous script and suddenly got sick, depressed, fatigued, and agitation/irritable, that it was some kind of tolerance/normal side effect, and took two more doses until I realized this new looking pill had to be the cause and thought I got the wrong medicine but found out in was a new generic by actavis. I bet they would say or at least this nuttcase was probably sick to begin with. As my face turns red and take a few breaths I will say as soon as I took one of my Barr brand tabs the symptoms miraciously dissapear. I will refuse to let then make me feel the fool and I refuse to bite my tongue any longer and will be taking action.
The diagnostics they do on the generics are evaluated by chemical analysis and may show the same active ingredients in the same quantities but not on if the human metabolizes and absorbs at the same rates than the brand name medication. It does not matter if the active ingredient is the same and has the exact same quantity but if it doesnt have the same absorbtion and metabolism in the human body its as if the damn medication is absent in the medication. Or they fail to determine how the fillers or possibly substandard preparation affects the absorption in the human body. Should that not be part of the process of equating two drugs. I call it friggen common sense, and to me its negligence. And it honestly makes me beyond pissed. If I'm wrong about this please I welcome clarification, and would appreciate it if I'm misimformed in my assumptions, please set me straight. We are the folks that allows these companies to make the the billions they do and I believe we should be top priority and I used to think that was the case but I have since been skepitcal of big pharma and as for the FDA bowing and kissing special interest ass, I just feel very upset. I have rambled and got off topic but I feel better that I got it out. Thanks.

Whatever you do never get advice from somebody that has never taken these particular medicines. At Walgreens the peach oval 30 milligrams that says Teva on them are the best Adderall in the market hands down!! When you go and get your prescription filled ask the pharmacist what brand they have and if they have the orange Teva that is the way to go
I agree with you as I had the exact same experience with actavis brand addersll..generic. There was a recall of Actavis and Teva within the past couple months...about March 2016.
I couldn't agree more, and I've never researched a drug manufa6 until being given these. This drug made me feel sick, depressed, short tempered, anxious, and completely useless. I wish I had never taken it.
I agree 100%! I have had the same exact reaction as everyone else on this page!
I just started adderall in November of 2015. I'm a 33 year old male who has lived with ADD my entire life. I finally broke down last year and admitted that I needed some help to manage it. I worked with a therapist for 6 months every week before being directed towards a psychiatrist. I was not happy about starting on medication. My first month on adderall was life changing. I take 20 mg each day. 10 in the morning and 10 at lunch. I could not (and still can't really) believe the difference it made in my life. I felt engaged in my life and was able to focus on my ambitions and goals with ease. I was sociable, kinder, more understanding etc. When my script renewed, I received the Actavis brand adderall. I was not aware that there was such a drastic difference in meds. I went from Corepharma to Actavis after 36 days of starting, and I fell into a hole. I ate one 10mg pill and it just didn't seem to do anything. I was distracted and tired. About 2 hours later, I tried another as I thought maybe it was a bad pill. Nothing. I layed down at lunch to take a nap. I woke up with a hot face, cold feet and hands, and I was dizzy and foggy. I went outside for a walk and I was skiddish and super paranoid. I called the nurse at my doctor's office, and she directed me to the pharmacy. Pharmacist swears up and down they're all the same. They don't pick and choose which drugs they stock. They put in a request and get shipped whatever is the cheapest that month. He told me there are 8 different generic brands for 10mg adderall. I felt worse on the Actavis adderall yesterday, than I do today without anything. I've scheduled an appointment with my doctor tomorrow. I'm taking the 58 pills into him, and either going with name brand, or back to the Corepharma if I can find it. Best of luck to others out there honestly just trying to manage their symptoms. It's bs that these companies can get away these practices. I complained to the pharmacist who noted my account, and I'm also going to file a complaint with my doctor. This s*** shouldn't be legal.
