Rhinitis Medication Ebastine And Bethamethasone (co-aleva) Side Effect

My brother was prescribed with the drug to treat his allergic rhinitis. An episode of palpitation and extreme anxiety occurred after taking it an hour earlier. He was just watching tv that time and had his usual dinner. Can this be attributed to the drug? Thanks for the reply.An afterthought- is there another drug that he can use as a substitute?
