Repeat Losartan 25mg Dose

Took my BP this morning at 10:00 am, was128/63. At 7:34 pm, 141/70, took one Losartan 25mg. And checked at 9:50pm, 147/74. No exercise, no drinking. I have neglected the last few days to take the Losartan 25mg pill. Blood pressure was good 127-130 with 65-70-73. Only recently started on Losartan. Should I be increased to 50mg

Before you increase your dose, you need to take it consistently for about 4 to 5 weeks to see how well this dose is going to work for you, which means no skipping doses.

It is normal for your blood pressure to fluctuate throughout the day, depending on what you've eaten, activity levels and etc. Even anxiety or worrying about your blood pressure can cause changes in the readings.

The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.

You should not increase your dose, without your doctor's approval.

My Doctor lower my prescription of LOSARTAN 100/25 to 50/25 and Amlodipine 25mg. I recently had my prescription refilled my my pharmacy. They filled the original one of 100/25 . I noticed the name was correct but, didn't notice the dosage was not the 50/25. I had opened the bottle and notice the pill was larger than usual. I called them as I felt it was their mistake and not mine. They have not cooperated. My doctor is also talking to them. I can't afford another filling it was for 90 days. CAN I BREAK THE 100/ 25 IN HALF TO EXPEDITE TIME?
