What does renin-angiotensin receptors or modulators mean? I was prescribed losartan and I want to know what it is doing to my body?

Losartan is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, certain cardiac conditions, and to protect the kidneys in people with diabetes.

What condition have you been diagnosed with?

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

To put it in layman's terms, these types of medications usually help increase blood flow to the heart, and other vital organs, so they can work more efficiently.
