Reglan And Mania

Hx. of Bipolar Disorder. Prescribed Reglan for Gastroparesis. Manic state after day 2 of med. Quit taking med. Decreasing Mania. Take Lithium for Bipolar Disorder.

Yes, it has been known to cause mania and depression in people that suffer from prior psychiatric disorders.

Usually, this can be avoided by stopping it and slowly titrating the dose upwards, so you may to consult with your prescriber about trying that.
