Re: Devildogg1989 (# 5)
It is Ibuprofen 200mg. I buy them generic at CVS PHARMACY. It's oblong reddish brown with 51 on it.
Re: David (# 1)
No it has 51 on one side and nothing else on either side.
I had a loose pill just like described--I checked my big bottle of Ibuprofen and Yes it is full of brown-red oval pills marked 51 or 5I
Re: David (# 1)
The pill I have clearly says 51 on it with no other markings its oblong and reddish in color it definitely is not a 2 upside down. If I could post a photo on here I would. Can't find it nowhere on the internet. It was in a bottle of tylenol that I bought yes was actually mixed in with a bottle of brand name tylenol. It obviously was mistakenly inserted during packing process how that happens idk. But I would really like to know what was put in my bottle by the manufacturer.
Re: Brian (# 2)
LoL I was thinking the same damn thing ??. I'm like how the hell does 51 even end up getting mistaken for anything but 51?
David is correct though
It's a Walmart based brand:
Equate 200mg Ibuprofen and, it actually is an imprint of I2; not a 51.
Made in India
Re: David (# 1)
How would a 5 look like a 2, even upside down? Seriously.... Type a "2", then turn your phone upside down and look at it. Does it look like a 5?
This may be a long shot, but there's a 200mg Ibuprofen tablet that's brownish-red and oblong with l2 on one side and blank on the other. If you hold it upside down it could appear similar to 5l, depending on the condition of the tablet?
For verification, the National Drug Code is 49035-517 and it appears to be a product of Walmart.
Perhaps you can contact your local pharmacy and/or poison control to see if this sounds like a possible match.
Whereabouts did you get it from?
