From what I've could gather, the overall consensus in related threads here also suggest that this could very well be ibuprofen. However I haven't located any specific details to verify these claims.
One thing to note that may help further search efforts is that a lot of people also tend to describe this pill as being brown in color. So I'm assuming it's somewhere in between red, maroon or brown depending on the lighting, but that's just something else to keep in mind when reading other comments.
As a last resort, it may even be best to take this pill into your local pharmacy to see if they recognize it.
