our 17 yr old daughter had 4 wisdom teeth out on Monday Aug 25th. she was given hdrocodon-acetaminophn 10-325. she has only taken a half about 10hours ago. this morning she fainted and has been weak all day. we are giving LOTS of fluids and light foods. what else can we do? Ibuprophen..?

Hello, Dawn! How is she doing?
My guess is that the fainting and weakness is more related to the extractions and not the medication, but it would be best to check with her dentist to be sure.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
It's just not likely that this medication would cause that over 10 hours later, though there is a slight chance it might.
How is she feeling, now? Did she bleed a lot?
