Racing Heart 2 Days

went to doc today and everything is fine Thank God! i was told that the xanax that i took helped calmed down the situation down alot.

to those of you who are working on the levels that best works for you, don't assume you can go up a complete 10mgs. after talking to doc, i should have asked permission for going up to 5mgs instead of 10 that i asked for. he said if 2 didn't work it'd be okay for me to try 10 = 30mg dosage for the whole day. which with most people would have been okay. i now see i need 5mg increments as i'm still adjusting to what level works for me. not his fault but mine. most people tolerate an additional 10mgs pretty easily.

do be careful and use the smallest additional increments of adderall that your body will take. even if you have a high tolerance, take it slow.

I WILL NOT BE DOING THAT AGAIN! 5mg increments for me should present dosage not be helping me with consentration and focus!

CORRECTION to the first post ... they are 10mgs NOT 12.5. i went back to 10mgs, was panicking and not thinking right. sorry for the misinformation on the dosage.

Adderall is a stimulant that contains mixed Amphetamine salts, so it can cause these types of side effects.

And no, you should never adjust your dosage on your own, taking too much of it can be very dangerous, as you have learned.

Along with the racing heart beat, it could cause heart attack and stroke, because it can also raise your blood pressure.

Have you talked to your doctor about maybe using a different medication if this one isn't working well for you?

thank you so much vern for your help and not judging me. i have learned and yes my doc and i are going to change meds. do you know of any safe adhd meds? i don't ever desire to experience anything like that again. thanks again.
