Question On Suboxone Scripts

I have been going to a suboxone doc for 8 months now every month he cuts me to lower and lower dosages well this month i was cut to just 4mg a day havnt been doing to well i also have cronic back pain i started calling different doc around to switch doc for one that will prescribe suboxone for pain as well as detox so i set an appointment with one told them everything about my history they said they were only a detox and can only give suboxone for 2 weeks and thats it. Well long story short they referred me to get an mri for my back pain and gave me a script for suboxone for 2 weeks. They also looked at my pharmacies history to make sure that i have been taking them too well 2 day later i go to my suboxone doc for suboxone for addiction to opiate i go to him everuthing is fine he writes me a script for the 4/1mg suboxone for the month. Can i fill this script too or do i have to wait for the 2 weeks is up from where i went to the other doc they gave me a script for the 8/2mg suboxone. I didnt want to get flaged and was scared to fill both back to back can someone please help me..

Hi I don,t know for sure but back when I was Dr. shopping I had filled a script for pain pills and around a week later I went to different pharmacy with another script from different Dr. and red flags went up. Ended up pharmacist called the most recent Dr. and he told pharmacist to rip up script.
I,d wait myself.
Did any Dr. tell you that subs only work around 6hrs for pain?
They obviously work a lot longer for addiction issues.
I have pain and addiction problem so my Dr. has me split up dose 3 times a day.
It helps with pain and still works for the other issues.

The doc i just went to told me to take 2 times a day just cut in have and take 4mg in the am and the other 4mg later in the afternoon. He told me it was 8hrs but yea i did know betwwen 6-8 hrs for pain. I know thats the thing i am worried about i do not want to be considered as doc shopping i was afraid of calling my suboxone doc to let him know that i ran out of script to soon as well. I know i hear sometime when the mg are different on the same drug they will refill both rx but i kinda wanted to know so i wouldnt be flaged. I have also heard that you can fill a script 5-6 days early and that doesnt come up as a red flag either..

Now that i look back i wish i would have not filled the script from the other doc and just went for the MRI and that was it. but i didnt ..

Yea thr new doc told me to take 4mg in the am and 4mg in the pm. But with the other doc its a different mg and its also its the 4/1mg take 2/.5 am and 2/.5 pm i just dont want to be labeled as doctor shopping. I was also told that i might br able to get the other script 4 to 5 days before the other runs out not sure how true that is either..

Hi Brian, I'm on suboxone and they usually fill my script on the 30th day. Sometimes, I can get it on the 29th day . If your Dr increases the amount you were normally taken , then u can get them early. A lot of pharmacy r strict when it comes 2 any kind of narcotic, especially these days. (Due 2 abuse )
