Psychiatrist Reference In Knoxville Tn

Im from out of state and am trying to find a psychiatrist in knoxville that can write my prescriptions. I can have my info and medical records sent or faxed. I take Prozac, Valium and Tegretol. Someone please help

It might be easier to set yourself up with a new PCP there and then have them refer you to someone. Plus, the PCP could at least make sure you don't run out of the Prozac and Tegretol. The Valium, however, will have to be prescribed by a specialist.

The FDA classifies the Valium as being a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

Prozac is an SSRI antidepressant and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight loss.

Tegretol is an anticonvulsant that's most often used to prevent epileptic seizures and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and mood swings.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

Thats what i was thinking as well. I do have terrible anxiety and am on my last refill. I will have to find a private care physician it look like, then get a reference from them. Thanks for your time, and reply.

If you have all your records you may want to try Norwood family practice in KNOXVILLE Tennessee. My whole family goes there and I know either Dr.Chambers or Dr.Pritcher will write you for those meds and will give you 3 refills for them. If u need their # just let me know. I'm not sure if the site will let me post it or not but it's worth a try if your interested

Can anyone please help w a situation I'm dealing with, since all the "new" laws have gone in to effect, I need to find a PCP or Head Dr that will write Valium. My new pain Dr took me off of Xanax & put me on Valium, now he wants me to find someone else to write the RX. I have very bad panic attacks if it medicated I go into... Not a seizure ( had a MRI ) something they call a episode. Please Help, I don't want to ever have another one.
