Protesting New Opioid Guidelines
UpdatedAnyone out there ready to protest this? What do you think? I want to do a walk on Washington or something big to get their attention.

Yes, yes, yes also use the media and file malpractice. Liability cuts both ways. I did not set my dose so high, doctors did. My pain issues well documented and legit. We need to organize. They collectively made billions and now Rats leaving the ship while we drown. If they really cared about addiction and overdose the educational part of the guidelines would be happening. It is not, time is money and they are evidently not wasting it on patients.
Petitions can be a great way to gather support from around the world. Vlogs are another option that speak to human emotion. And sharing your story here on MedsChat can also act as a unique form of protesting in that the collective consciousness comprised of every individual here who reads this and shares a similar mindset towards the medical establishment only makes our numbers grow inherently stronger and our voice that much more pronounced/trusted within the online community. With all that said, I feel that the best method of protest is a boycott to their inferior products and outlandish prices...This hits them in their wallets where they'll feel it most. We can't just express our frustration and then go on using their medications, their doctors and their philosophies if we ever wish to change the outcome of our future relationship with big pharma.
Yes, I cant understand why patients who are in need of the medication-opiods, are now the ones being penalized by being taken off of the medication. I for one am in much more pain, less mobile, and in a nutshell have a miserable quality of life. Walking-sleeping,sitting,taking the steps, all of this produces severe pain- sharp pain. Sitting takes time. And even then the thought of getting up is a whole new venture because you know what that is going to entail. I just would like to Thank all the Drug Addicts, The Insurance Companies and stupid Doctors who helped to aid those Junkies on the street(they know who they are, they like the $$$). Meanwhile, the pain patients have been left to fend for themselves-there are no "Groups",or "Movie Stars" or even Politicans(gasp) standing up for us.
There have been WALKS to Washington for everything this past year, everything. There will be no one listening to us, because no one realizes we (People in Pain) are out here. They only know about what's being shown on TV-shows & the NEWS (drug addicts overdosing). We can only bring the light to us (Needing our Pain Medication Control) by doing something big-if it has to be a rally, protest against the Drs/Pharmacies/CDC/Legislation then we need to address it now before its finished & completely out of our hands. One thing is for sure, our Doctors have long ago lost control of managing their practice when they started letting (not really letting, sorry) the Insurance Companies dictate what they can & cant do-error #1 by our USA. Our Physicians are the ones who need to be in control who, what, when they can prescribe medication. Now should they NOT practice safely, then of course that's different just as in any job. Now I am rambling. Back to the Rally for OUR Pain Medication. I will encourage us all to think about this and really, really put some stock into where and when it would be a good location/time for us PainPatients and maybe our family members too to get this Rally going!!!!
I would love love love to protest the opioid farce. I believe the Real Public has no idea what is going on, and the only way to open their eyes along with the FAKE Reporters (pun intended) would be is to have some sort of rally & protest. Should they see us out there in our Pain & Glory so to speak they would then & only then understand what they heck is going on. I don't expect the president to be there or even acknowledge us - It's not for him ... it's for the Industry, the government, the politicians. I am not too sure the Pres will do anything until its been brought out into the open.
