Hi just thought I'd help. As I used to take 80mg propranalol I'm 27 and was takin them for 3 years.ur answer ur question is yes they help with ur migrains and also if u don't take them regulary they can give u migrains they also slow ur metabolism. Down witch makes u gain weight.I gained 4 stone and got bad migrains from them once I stopped they can be addictive. Few tips when coming of them. Chest pains panicky high blood pressure anxious

thanks so much for the info regarding proponanol 80mg. i had a brain tumor removed from front left temple area back in 2002, had bad migranes afterwards, they slowly got better and less frequent, recent headache lasted ONE WEEK ,but first bad one i've had in approximately one year. stopped migrane Rx about one year ago, and was trying to avoid taking any additional med's with several others i'm stuck on for other reasons. don't want to take everyday for occasional headache, but it was bad, kept me home several days. Anything helpful on "as needed basis" once a migrane starts. i've never been able to detect "signs" of oncoming migranes to begin medicine. Thanks for any advice, 4 stones Darryl (how much does a stone weigh in pounds?)

Actually, the best thing to do for migraines is to prevent them by taking something regularly.

What medication were you on for them before? Why did you stop?
