Propanolol E

I have been taking propanolol 160 mg in a small brown capsule for months now for headaches. I forgot my pills and I won't be able to get them for a couple days. My boyfriend was prescribed propanolol HCL 20 mg for anxiety. Would it be safe for me to substitute my pills for his?

The problem here is that the 160mg ones you were taking are controlled release ones and his might not be. Does his label have anything like ER, XR, SR or the like on the label?

Have you tried calling your doctor to ask for advice?
