I need a refill for promethazine with codeine vc purple cough syrup but am not sure what limit my doctor imposes.

I just got a codeine and promethazine bottle - how long do i have to wait before I refill it? Due to the fact it fell over in my sink and all of it drained away :(

If you're looking to refill your prescription it should say on the printout how long your current supply is intended to last, and then you'd probably need to follow up with your doctor so they can call a refill in if needed. Although because this medication contains a narcotic ingredient I doubt they would allow long term use because of the potential for abuse and getting themselves in trouble if they over prescribe. This medication is distributed by a number of manufacturers according to this site's NDC listing for Promethazine w/ Codeine.

As to the original message on here, the description of "177 TL" is a completely different medication - it is 51991-468 : Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride 10 mg - which comes in a tablet form and is a muscle relaxer.
