I am losing a lot of hair. I have been on a prexum 10mg for 6 months now, my hair loss seems to get worse, I am even too scared to wash my hair, I have tried various shampoos too. I am currently also taking multivitamins and folic acid to help with not loosing too much hair? Help

I am a 61 year old female. I started using Prexum 10mg 3 weeks ago for hypertension treatment. I experience extreme hair loss, I feel dizzy and I experience chest pain and head aches - is this normal?
Prexum contains the active ingredient Perindopril and it can cause hair loss as a side effect in some people.
Learn more Perindopril details here.
If it's that severe, it's not likely that it's going to stop while you're still taking this medication.
Have you consulted your doctor?
There are other medications you can try that aren't known to cause hair loss as a side effect.
