UpdatedAre there any medicaid mma plans that covers suboxone

Hi Chris,
According to the link below, Medicaid coverage for medication like Suboxone is said to vary "considerably" by State.
See FAQ #4 on the following patient list: buprenorphine.samhsa.gov/faq.html
You didn't mention what State you were in, but Florida is the only State's program I'm seeing information on when I type in MMA, so just wanted to double check that. Looking online at Florida Medicaid's drug formulary, the closest thing I found to Suboxone (Buprenorphine + Naloxone) was a combination of Pentazocine + Naloxone.
It may also be a good idea to contact your local Medicaid office (human resource department) for more specific details involving coverage and whether or not they allow any exceptions to the rules based on your individual circumstances.
Hope this helps!
It depends on the state you're in as well as the Medicaid Health Plan you have, if your states has them. You can go to your states Medicaid website and look for their Preferred Drug List, If you have a Medicaid Health Plan, go to their website and look for their Prefered Drug List. It will have to be cover by both, if you have a health plan.
