Prednisone 10mg How Do I Get Off Predisdone?

My pain management PA put me on Presidone10 Mg five times today tampering
it down by one pill a day for five days. I have renal function of 31 and was told by my renal dr not to take any pillsfor inflammation. Question I too five doses today
Tomorrow I'm scheduled to be admitted to the hospital for surgery for a condition
Cauda Eqinus Syndrome. What should I do? I looked up information and
Prednisone should not be taken prior to surgery. Do I stop now?

Prednisone isn't actually an anti-inflammatory, the FDA considers it a steroid class medication. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, acne, weight gain and fluid retention.

However, before stopping it and having your surgery, you should double check with your doctor. It may still be too close for you to have the surgery.
