Prednisone 10mg For Animals

The vet gave my dog prednisone for his skin problems it has cleared up but the spring time he starts straching again. Can I give this pill to him again

Even in dogs, Prednisone risks causing some serious side effects, such as high blood pressure, fluid retention and heart failure, so it would be best not to give it to him, without your vets approval.

What is causing the itching, is it an allergy?

Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, headache and nervousness.
