UpdatedI have a prescription for PAP30MG/Phentol injections. To assist with ED due to prostrate cancer surgery. Can you tell me the possible side effects and how often I can use the injections?

Hi Don,
I haven't been able to find any pertinent information regarding PAP30MG or Phentol injections. Are you referring to Phentolamine injections perhaps?
Phentolamine is used to prevent and control high blood pressure during surgery of pheochromocytoma. It is also used to prevent and treat skin injury due to norepinephrine injection. This medicine can help your doctor to diagnose pheochromocytoma (adrenal gland tumor) in your body. Another indication is to reverse the effects of an anesthetic medicine in soft tissues, such as the lips and tongue. It may be used to help quickly restore normal sensation and function in patients who have received local dental anesthesia.
Adverse reactions associated with Phentolamine injections:
Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:
Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
Chest pain.
Dizziness or weakness.
Fast or uneven heartbeat.
Lightheadedness or fainting.
Problems with vision, speech, or walking.
If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:
Headache or stuffy nose.
Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
Warmth or redness in your face, neck, arms, or upper chest.
