Pharmacies That Will Fill Oxycodone And Methadone.

I live in Naples, Florida and I am legally prescribed both methadone and oxycodone. I have an extremely hard time trying fill these prescriptions. I once went to 19 different pharmacies in one day trying to fill them! Only to be told that either they are out, don't carry it, or are no longer taking in New "clients." I finally found a.place that would fill 180 pills of my methadone, even though I am prescribed 270. I had my doctor break up my prescription into two so it would be easier. I then found a place that fills my second part of my prescription with little problems. I've been going to these two different pharmacies on and off for the past two years. Now I find out that the main pharmacy I use is going out of business, andnow the other one has been giving me hassles. Is there a pharmacy in Naples, Florida, Collier County, that would actually fill my prescriptions without hassle every month. I am so tired of the hassle and awkward rejections, or scathing remarks from technicians that think they know better or.are.jus5 plain nasty to you. Is there anyone who could recommend a good pharmacy? I would do the mail order thing only I can't get a credit card and I have Medicaid. Also because so many mom and pop and even major company pharmacies have gone out of business recently it has become more difficult. The withdrawal from these medications is a nightmare of shell on earth when I can't get them filled. I would wish the pain, freezing sweats, and puking on my worst enemy. Is there anyone out there knowledgeable of the Naples, Florida area and where a good pharmacy is. I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello, Bella! How are you? I am so very sorry about the problem that you're having.

I really wish I had information to help you, but I'm afraid I don't. This has been going on all over, not just in Florida and many people have posted asking for help with similar problems.

Many pharmacies will no longer fill if you and your doctor aren't both located within a certain radius of their store, due to the mandatory ordering and stocking limits on controlled substances that they must abide by each month.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

And the prescription being for 270 is another problem, because that doesn't work out to being a specific number per day. As a 30 day supply, that would be 9.0333… pills a day. which isn't the way they are usually prescribed. That's why one place would fill 180, that would be 6 pills a day.

Does anyone have any ideas or advice to offer?

Desperately need to fill 30 mg Oxycodone rx. In the Orlando/Central Florida area. I've been searching for two weeks and I am losing hope. The pain is just unbearable. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you and God bless you.

I have been suffering thru all of the backlash these past few years that all of the Doctors, ""Pill-mills"", # of chain pharmacy stores from Sanford, FL south thru the Palm Beach/Ft. Lauderdale region, ALONG with 2 of the larger supply houses that the DEA revoked Schedule 2 Opiate licensing from or worse, due to astronomical counts being processed per month even compared to high volume, 24hour Pharmacies monthly averages that were following protocols prior to the near lockdown across the SouthEast... ESPECIALLY in Florida, regardless how many years that you have been steadily taking such meds properly without climbing into "redzone" quantities. During the past decade, I have gone up and down with a major cervical (neck) reconstruction, and 3 subsequent lumbar/sciatic (low back) surgeries as well... leaving me since 2nd back op on crutches then later cane at best when I can walk.... lost my career. Not comparing, not seeking pity, just trying to connect and make those aware that even those like myself, in worse condition, or even 2 deceased and 1 friend still fighting stage 4 cancer.... they are "nit-picking" every single opiate script now period. Walgreens has tightened up there policy this year 2 or maybe even 3 times now (left them) to where you could basically be refused ANY controlled meds if a Pharmacist has any issues with you and it gets very tacky... my Doc got tired of the crap they put me thru and still made me withdraw w/o meds for 5,7, even 11 days once even though they had the meds as Pharm Techs had already verified.... just some Pharm Mgrs have a God complex practically now and try to combat the Doctor saying "he has been on this qty med for too long, etc. Any rate, (sry for the rant, out of mine 27hrs (ontime) and MIGHT get refills Tuesday-Friday IF they show on truck) which is the honest truth for most Grocery Store Pharms that CAN stock them, or Mom n Pop shops.... the suppliers being soo backlogged rarely notify them when next shipment comes... they just happen to be in a crate on a shipment from what two reliable sources in said position have told me of late.... best of luck, but seek the News channel that exposed one of Walgreens previous checklists for those of us legitimately in need of our pain meds, and research it for a few minutes.... EXCELLENT read for your next Doc appt. as mine is still astonished in all the increasingly tighter grip to where some Docs are scared to prescribe now(understand that Walgreens has basically followed fear tactics pressed upon by the DEA since they are the largest, however, you shall find that you and your Doc CAN make it less impossible with reading up on it... simple things like knowing what qty limits on certain pills are being pressured, but even switching to a doc & pharmacy that are BOTH very close to you (same or adjacent zipcodes for example).... I will try to reply to this thread again in a few days with any further advice I can recall,, as we're moving this weekend so no promises!! Be positive when speaking w them... be blessed, and all the best Holiday Wishes (like magical heating pads while we wait for refill, lol)!

We need to fight back and pick on these pharmacies, get news coverage of them and don't purchase from these stores at all, as that adds up. We need a group. I'm in Bradenton, FL. I hear the same ****, oh we haven't seen you in here or the best line, we are out of stock sorry. You have to get away from these name brand pharmacies, like walgreens, CVS and so on, look for the mom and pop shops or you can mail it into your insurance company and wait 2 weeks if they have that service, but I've been on heavy pain meds for 35yrs with xanax, that's a deadly combo and i have drank with it at times, not smart and I have drove all messed up, which is also not smart. But i'm not hooked on these drugs, because if i don't have pain or little pain i dont take anything, but after 8 operations, i have 24 x 7 pain. Gabapentin has helped me out a lot with my pain and is non addicting... Keep looking and you will find a pharmacy to fill it. I always have, im going to Wisconsin for a few months and i never have a problem at walgreens there. FL is under the heat right now; it was christmas getting medications here for yrs. I came down here in 2001 and started looking for a pain dr and it was easy and i got what i wanted. I still get what want now from my Dr., I say I would like this and that and Mg, he has never said no to me and I get morphine and oxy at the same time..I have my pharmacy picked out and ready before I get my meds.
