Because Periactin (Cyproheptadine) is a prescription medication, you're probably going to have to make an appointment with a local doctor in order to see about getting it prescribed.

However I do question how an antihistamine for allergies is going to help with weight gain?

As far as pricing is concerned, some sources suggest that you may end up paying anywhere from $15-$30 for a 30 day script of the 4mg tabs. There also happen to be plenty of coupons out there (including one on this site) that can help cut down the cost for you if that's a problem.
