Percocet/oxycodone M523 10/325 (Page 2)
UpdatedHello all,
First off I'm new to posting here and I must admit this is probably a topic that is quite frequent and I have done days searching but can't seem to really find any info on my specific situation. I apologize in advance for the long post but I will introduce myself and situation.
I've been on oxycodone 10/325 for a little over a year now from a botched foot surgery and diabetic neuropathy in this same foot. It helps tremendously and seems to be the only relief I can get is from taking these. Whether its first thing in the morning to be able to stand up and get moving or whether it's to let me settle down and drift off to sleep which is something fairly hard to do. I also was recently diagnosed with PTSD from my job and I am currently out of work for this. It is not fun. The oxycodone also seems to just ease my mind as well as my pain and its honestly the only thing I've taken that helps with both.
I am under the care of a pain management doctor which I've been seeing since August 2015. My script is 90 for 30 days (3 a day). I try my best to stick to this as it is the dosage I'm required to abide by.. But at times I find myself taking 1-2 more a day than the normal 3 a day I'm supposed to take. Thus, resulting in my script "running out" early. So I turn to other means and each time it's usually something different. Nothing other than oxy but just different milligrams (sometimes 5s) and most of the time it's different manufacturers (sometimes it's pink only oxy no acetaminophen, sometimes yellow Vs and sometimes white IPs).
This last time I was given white ones with m523 on one side and 10/325 on the other. I became suspicious right away. After further examining them they also look rather "beat up" almost as if they were in someone's pocket for 2-3 days or drug across the ground. All the writing on them is lined up properly on each one and well centered. They seem very light weight. Almost like a hollow capsule would feel. Very chalky looking although there is a slight glaze on them in the light but nothing like the glaze that mine from the pharmacy have on them. And also you can very easily "chip" the pill with your fingernail and easily rub off the writing with your fingernail as well. And they dissolve into a chalky paste very quickly almost instantly as soon as they hit your tongue.
Which leads me to the next point.. Yes, I did take one. I noticed nothing different than normal for the first 20-30 minutes which is usually when the rush hits me. It felt like oxy. It was very short lived. All feeling was gone well within the hour and I was left extremely thirsty with an odd dry taste in my mouth and a dull but worsening pressure headache in the back of my head. Felt kind of odd. Not as I usually feel anyway. Kind of dizzy and couldn't really focus or bring myself to do anything. Was very sleepy actually and I felt as if I may throw up.
Anyways, this was my experience in a nutshell. I know a press for this particular pill can be purchased on on the internet for 150 bucks. I'm really on the edge about these. I feel like it could go either way I guess but I'm still suspicious. Like I said, I definitely got the "oxy Rush" that I'm so used to.. But is this something that can also be achieved with someone cutting these pills with fentanyl or xanxax or something else?? Im not taking anymore. I know the above aforementioned can easily kill and that's not something I'm going to play around with. Well I guess I covered everything that I wanted to cover.. And I do have pictures of these if you can even post them here and if I can figure out how.
I have them also. Been taking percocet and never gotten sick. These are making me so nauseated. Am I stuck with them or ellie the pharmacies replace them????
I appreciate you sharing however there are many of us with severe chronic pain and we're always gonna hear this feedback. also if you don't ask questions like some of us then how else will we get the answers that were seeking. a lot of doctor's know the real truth behind all medications due to them responding (Not that they are not gonna be honest with us however later, that's where the legal suits come along later down the line, so never apologize for asking questions cause you have the right for answer's; tho a lot of doctor's are keeping quiet they know this mess is mostly Tylenol or aspirin. Percs. 10/325 numbs the pain barely. It's all bull and we know it and the doctors know it.
On a percocet m523 on one side and10/325 dose the numbers have to go the same direction
Hi! I know this forum is older but in case anyone else has the same question about the 10/325 & M523 pills.... in a nut shell they are Percocet. Which is oxy & Acetaminophen. I have a prescription to these so i can confirm they are authentic as long as they are white, oval, and have 10/325 on one side and M523 on the other. Hope this helps.
Hello, i feel ya im 50 now when i was 48 was the worst time in my life, see i have crohns disease and i have had 6 foot of intestine removed it was all like a dream it was horrible, been taking oxys percoset for 2 years the pharmacy likes to switch back and forth between the m523 and the ip204 to me the ip works auicker but both do the same thing. In your case and its happen to me i would fall short on my script and need to find some im not rich i cant work now. I found the best way of course of getting what you need is straight from the pharmacy. If when your out before your next script find a trustworthy sorce to many shisters out thier trying to make a buck and dont care if you live or die, i wish you peace and everyone who reads this thank god thier is pain relief sometimes hard to get but ill get it, hope everyones health improves i hate depending on a pill because when its gone or unavailable im hit. So to everyone who depends on these and other pain meds to enjoy life more, i say....PEACE.
Hello! I too suffer from chronic pain. I had my pain under control until July 2016. I was thrown down by my autistic son and had an AC separation grade 5 and was actually knocked out. I was actually on Suboxone 4mg a day for my pain. (No Suboxone hasn't been approved in the US for pain but, my prescriptions all said for pain.) The 2 years I was on Suboxone were actually the best years I've had since my pain began. I have multiple conditions and am a veteran. Most of my healthcare comes through the VA. The Suboxone did not. They require me to spend 30 days away from my family, that is impossible for myself and my family. (I have an autistic son, disabled son (brain injury at birth), a 12 year old daughter who is very busy with athletics and I'm the full time care provider for my 2 year old granddaughter) When I went to the orthopedic doctor, she wanted to put me on oxycodone the first day. I objected and didn't start them until 3 days before my first surgery, which was 3 weeks after my accident. After surgery, I was prescribed 420 5mg oxycodone (no Tylenol) and was prescribed that amount until my last surgery 5 weeks ago, she cut me back to 240 a month of the same thing. Of course my pain is extreme still and she refuses to give me more. She says she doesn't want me to get addicted. First off, I've been on opiates for years and it's the ONLY thing that relieves my pain. So, now I have to find relief my own way, friends of friends, or whatever way possible.
I can relate to the original poster, doctors don't want or care to help you. People who take narcotics just to feel high ruin it for the ones who have REAL MEDICAL problems! Yes, we are addicted but it's not the addiction that keeps me taking, it's the pain! I'd rather live my life without pills and no pain than a life of pain management. I, like the original poster, cannot even get out of the bed without the oxycodone. I'm in that much pain. And to be honest, 10mg of oxycodone does NOT mess with my mind or 'mess' me up after so many years of using it. What probably bothered me the most in this thread is for someone to say something about your liver. I assume the maximum amount of Tylenol and ibuprofen every day is better and still no relief! People who haven't been there or take for recreational use have no idea of what they are talking about. What landed me on this thread, I also got the same pills that the VA distributes, of course the cheapest medication. There are fakes out there though. Please be careful.
All generics are not created equal. I've been prescribed pain meds for ten years for a smashed heel. I noticed a BIG difference between generic Vicodin from Walmart vs. Walgreens. A lot of it has to do with Walmart's bid process for the lowest price. Secondly, shelf life, temperature at storage, and various handling issues do make a difference. The longer pills sit on a shelf, in a warehouse, etc. the less effective they are. That's the case with Tylenol, Motrin, and every pill made.
I worked in pharma sales for over a decade and swapped out a LOT of older pills for fresher, more effective medications.
Koatom00723 the pills you are speaking of are a generic percoset known as endocet. They are made by a different company than the one you receive your meds from. I have taken both kinds and really can't tell any difference.Except the endocets are alot cheaper. I contacted the walmart in my town to see about getting these instead but was told they have a certain pharmaceutical company they pretty much have to go with. reason is Walmart gets a kick back. Now before someone starts going off on me this is just what I have heard so please keep negative comments to yourselves because I am not employed neither at Walmart or at a pharmaceutical business. One thing tho my last script I got, the pills seem to have the coating on them like the oxycontin extended release wasn't aware they started doing that to immediate release percs also

I'm sorry but you are mistaken these are NOT ENDOCET . Nor are they coated with a substance like the old OxyContin .Its evident you are not a pharmaceutical rep.If you read the entire thread his question was actually answered In fact by the original poster in a later follow up . It's essential to read the entire thread before posting semi accurate information that is not beneficial
Not fake. Dealers cut drugs by crushing them down, crush down Tylenol, mix, and use pill press to remake them. It can still give you power so you'll return for business. If all the pills were just Tylenol, your dealer is on a death wish.
I don't think that you should feel shamed or scorned. Pain management is tricky because some days you hurt more than others and you need to take more but your pain management plan you can't and your doctors don't want dependency issues ( which let's be honest if you're on them and have been for a year straight there are already dependency issues and there is a difference between drug dependent and drug addict a very distinct difference) or they don't want to have liability. I just got this medication from my Pharmacy with that manufacture with the numbers on the side so I looked it up to see because they are bigger than the usual ones that I get and I didn't know if that was because I was cash pay and not insurance this time, because I lost my insurance. I haven't noticed a real difference between my old ones and these ones. I do however when they're the round tablets that Walmart often carries, those ones don't work at all for me. And unfortunately people who have never suffered from chronic pain don't know what it's like to want to just not feel pain for an hour out of an entire day. Because out of 24 hours you hurt every hour you're awake, every minute you're awake, and sometimes when the pain is really bad nothing helps take it all away. The medications help take the edge off, but for me being a chronic back pain suffer, nothing ever really takes it all away and unfortunately for me it will only get worse as I age. And I've come to accept that this is what it is. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for looking outside of the pharmacist or your doctor to try to help with the medications and the pain just be careful what you take and be very careful. Sometimes we act out of desperation because we hurt so bad, but I would assume because this came from a CVS Pharmacy, that it is a legitimate pill and it's not a fake one especially if it has the 1 and not the I.
Can Percocet/ oxycodone with one side m523 and other side 10/325 be fake ?
They seem to be legit. My friend gets those from Walmart w the same markings. They are generic 10 mg Percocets
In a response to a good time release med . My Dr. put me on Opana ER 20 mg. Its time released 12 hours and percocet 10/325 works well for me.
Wow...you sound very scorned or in withdrawal. He answered you the best he could and you took everything so personal. You weren't berated, but sure reacted like it.
IMO if I was laced with fentanyl you would have definitely felt more as its more potent them oxy . I recently got my script of 100 Percocets I usually get the alvogen brand the yellow ones well I got m523 this time straight from pharmacy and to me the m523s are alot weaker . I have to take 2 of them sometimes 2 and half to do the same thing for me that 1 yellow one does
Hi all, first of all I hold a master's degree in nursing, and worked in the field 30 years. I am not a doctor, or a pharmacist. I went to a nursing school that demanded we always knew anything and everything about the meds that we have our patients take. There are times i have had to correct doctors and pharmacists about medication administration as they don't hand the pills with the direct intention of that person taking that pill right then, and there, and the one directly responsible for that person once they take it. When a doctor or pharmacist gives you pills, you are supposed to go home and read the literature about it. When a nurse hands you pills in the hospital she is responsible for letting you know what you need, or wish to know about it.
That being said; I am also a chronic pain sufferer, and have been for about 12 years now. The physical reasons have retired me from nursing, due to the pain, and the effects of the meds I take to deal with that pain. I have been seeing my current pain management doctor for 10 years, for prescriptions and 2 of them are opiates. It is just in the last few months that my doctor, of whom we have a wonderful doctor patient rapport, has increased dosages, frequencies, and medication types to some that I can function fairly well on. I'd say about 40% functional. 10 years. I was not in a big hurry to up anything, even though my previous prescriptions really were lacking greatly in helping my pain. They took the edge off if I was doing nothing more than lying in bed watching tv. I still can't walk more than for about ten minutes without being done, but I do have more desire to try and be more functional.
No one wakes up and says "gee I want to be an addict" if you have been on regular doses of narcotics for an amount of time, that differs from person to person, you will become dependent on that medication. It's a fact. I can bore you with what all goes on in your brain to cause this if you want, but most won't. Basically narcotics rewire your brain. I'm not saying that no one can quit cold turkey, or wean off. Some can, some can't. But chances are most people are dependent on those pills if they have taken them long enough for whatever time each person's body takes to become dependent.
A few visits ago, when my doctor made these miraculous changes in my meds I mentioned the word addiction. He said to me "you are not addicted" - I then told him the list of symptoms that occur if say I'm not hurting at bed time and maybe didn't take many meds the day before, and I wake up with symptoms of beginning withdrawal. He said to me first of all the fact that you have days that you don't take the maximum is a good indication. So basically after this long conversation what I gleaned was this. Yes, we do become physically, or mentally, or both, dependent on these meds but the term addiction is used more for behaviors, and lean toward abuse behavior. Constantly running out early, and yes I have taken an extra dose or two on some days. That just means I take less on others. Either because I'm not hurting as bad as usual, or well I took extra, and that leaves me with less because I don't wish to run out so I have to ration for a day or two lol.
For years I was on the three a day/90 A month train. If you have chronic bad pain 3 Norco 10/325 a day does not usually help. I suffered so much back then, but being a nurse I know what behaviors they use to red flag you as an abuser. That doesn't mean everyone that acts like that is abusing their meds, but unfortunately for all of us the ones that do have set the parameters for everyone. I live in a state that allowed the pill mills to go on, and on until a few years ago, and then they made the laws so ridiculous they hurt all of us, along with raising the medication costs so high even ppl like me with good insurance can barely afford them.
Anyway, I somehow found myself on this forum today trying to show someone how to look up code numbers on pills, she lent her room mate some and when room mate paid her back they didn't look at all like what she took and with me not having passed pills in a while I wasn't sure either. My heart goes out to anyone with chronic pain. Please, let's not all use name calling, and accusing everyone of being an addict and such. Let's all just try and help each other staying informed, and safe in taking these medications. I am not here to judge who, or why anyone takes narcotics. As a nurse we are taught not to judge the pain of others. We are taught to assess a need when giving people pills but that is a whole different topic. In my 30 years I never denied anyone their pain medicine. The doctor ordered it, he's way more educated than I lol. For those that feel the need to purchase on the street I don't judge you either. Some people in a lot of pain do that for many viable reasons, no insurance, long wait lists to become a patient, etc. I have been fortunate enough, or too scared to do that myself but to each his own. Just please be careful. From reading some of these posts there are some dangerous fakes going around. I just wanted to write today because a particular post got my attention, and sympathy. We don't know what the others are going through so please let's try not to speak hurtfully, or in an accusatory manner to each other. There were some excellent educational, and precautionary posts on here, good work people! Blessings to every one.
Exactly no one knows how it is with chronic pain or can even pretend to understand unless u have severe pain n chronic widspread then u will understand I pray for all of u to be pain free and myself. I JUDGE NOONE!!!!!!!!
Telll people factual information. Like pharmacies are allowed to sell you generic pills with as little as 66 percent of the advertised amount. Meaning that a 10 mg pill might only be a 7 mg pill. The Federal Food and Drug Administration states that as long as a pill is not more than 33 percent off, it passes for generic. I guess you are taking a prescription, fill it name brand if your worried about the amount of medicine or color, texture and taste. I'm saying factual information. By the time someone realized they should of stuck with what their medical doctor is telling them they might become a victim. There is no way to tell if pills bought on the street are real. I hear people say they're throwing meds away? Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a drug panel instead of risking your life?
I get the exact pill you described from a very reputable pharmacy and they work very well for me....there are several generic percoset pills on the market and what you got probably changed hands 3-4 times resulting in the worn or chalkiness of the pill....and one of my fears is that there may be 'chemists' in the factories that produce these that just don't give a s**t about what they're doing, and often the final product goes unchecked through the system...my suggestion would be to ask your doctor for just oxycodone, 10 mgs, without the acetaminophen or other additives....
