Pepto Bismol And Frequent Urination

Why is it that taking pepto bismo causes me to have frequent urination just about every hour at night time? I also take Lipitor, Avapro, Metformin, Januvia and Actos.

Lipitor interacts with antacids. My father has the same problem, plus nausea and stomach problems. Going to doctor to try and get him off it. Liptor from what I've been studying is not a very good, or useful, drug for most people. From what I've read, it only helps 1-3% of people. Very bad side effects too!!!!

I started taking metformin 500 about 1 mth ago and I'm stating to pee a lot more often and it burns most of the time .. I'm also taking simvastatin20 andlevothyroxine88 but ive been taking the 2 for 2 yrs and never bothered me.. it hurts bad sometimes when I urinate ... should I stop cut them in half or what.. its worse in the morning.

Donna, if it hurts and burns, when you urinate, then you should consult a doctor, those are standard side effects of a urinary tract infection, according to details provided by the NIH. If that is the case, you need to take an antibiotic.

Regarding the original post, since you are taking multiple diabetes medications, if your blood sugar is out of control, that can also cause frequent urination. Most blood pressure medications can also cause such an issue, according to FDA side effect reports.
