Pantoprazole Sod Dr 40 Mg Help Please

my doctor gave me this pill and it has not changed any of my symptoms (belching stomach growling sore and tight throat liquid sensation in my stomach) ...sometimes it feels like they've gotten worse. I wait 30 min before breakfast in order to take it. I've been on it for a week and no difference whatsoever. would I be able to stop taking it and try soemthing else?

There would be no harm in stopping it to try something else, but it can take several weeks to heal the damage that has been done from excess acid, so not all of your symptoms are going to go away in the first week.

However, I actually did better and had much better results from a different class of medications than I did these ones. Pepcid worked best for me, it's available over the counter and there is a generic that's called Famotidine.

Have you checked with your doctor? You should clear any medication change with them, before proceeding.
