Pantoprazole Sod Dr 40 Mg Compared To Nexium
UpdatedSince Nexium 40 mg is now OTC, my doctor switched me to Pantoprazole sod dr 40 mg so i can continue to have it sent to me thru express scripts. Is there a difference between the two? I don't have any side effects from Nexium .... .will this new pill have side effects?

Hello, Donna! How are you?
It is a different medication, but in the same drug class, they are both proton pump inhibitors. It may cause you to experience side effects, there's no way to know, until you try it and see.
The side effects can include nausea, dizziness, flatulence and stomach pain.
Are there any other questions or concerns?
