No, this is not a heart medication. This contains the active ingredient Pantoprazole, it is a proton pump inhibitor that is used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach to treat or prevent conditions such as heartburn, GERD, ulcers and gastritis.
It may sometimes be prescribed along with heart or blood pressure related medications, because many of them can cause the above listed gastro-intestinal problems.
Common side effects may include: nausea, dizziness and stomach pain.
