I'm on 5mg of oxycontin. I was wondering if it is ok to smoke cannabis while i'm on it?

I am on Oxy 10mg and Hydrocodone 10/325 for break through. I will be stopping the Hydro and take up Pot. I don't know who the hell you think you are to say I am abusing the system or making it hard for people like YOU AND ME to get the scripts filled. Don't talk down to the people that are doing things the right way. I agree with you that some people if not 90% of people on these pain meds do not need to be and are only looking for the "high". I would love to see them jailed and then some. But never say all of us are abusing the system!

Oh god!! don't do it!! I did and so did my best friend on separate occasions and both of us though we were a)going to have a heart attack b)going to faint and c)blacked out for a few minutes. I had to go outside (it was winter) in like -25 C in a tee shirt and get some fresh air and sit down and think about my life. I was frigged. I do not advise this! It was not at all fun! Scary if anything!!

I've been on Oxycotin 40mg for the last 7/8yrs and just had my doc increase my Oxycotin to 60mg…..They work much better than 40mg…..I take them twice a day usually one in am hours and then one in early evening hours. In between taking them I take 4-6 10-325 xycodone to keep the pain at a managable level, I was in a auto accident some 8yrs ago and been on SSI for the last 4/5yrs only because it literally took 4/5yrs to get my Disability from Gov't. Anyways I've smoked every once inawhile when I go see a long time friend of mine who smokes on reg. basis because he likes to smoke weed. However since the roll-out of Obamacare our HC Ins. which I use to pay co-pay of $15/$25 for all scripts I now have to pay first $4,000 then Ins. pays 100% of the cost, well I knew my scripts were expensive but not $3,155.00 expensive….That's not a typo my 180ct Oxycotins & 360ct Oxycodone cost $3,155 for a 3 month supply and as I was paying for my scripts I laughingly made a comment to the pharmacist that perhaps I should go to Colorado as it might be a hell of alot cheaper than $3,155…

After paying 100% of my scripts once this year and again in about 2-1/2 months from now which it won't be as much because I have just over $700 to pay to hit my $4,000 out of pocket cost then I'm good until Jan 1, 2015 and start the cycle all over again yippie !!!! But I've been comptemplating smoking weed vs taking all my meds, kinda mixing them to see where theres a balance to still relieve my pain yet not use as many meds as I'm currently using…Back in my hey Days I smoked regularly several times a day thru our my teens/HS yrs into my 20's/30's but since quit and have quit drinking altogeather abotu 6yrs ago only because I got tired of feeling like s*** in the morning due to getting older so I don't miss drinking one bit !!! My next visit to my Doctor I'm gonna talk to him abotu smoking weed and taking my meds and see if smoking weed regularly will do same vs taking all my meds i'm now taking and atleast find a happy medium between the 2.

Sometimes one or the other isnt enough and instead of taking a handful of pills they take less and smoke too. Not always to have fun.

Wow... This is what your doing with yall lives you sound like preteens. And on a freaking web site? I was just researching it because I heard about some ppl doing that dumb s*** on the news and I wanted to find out the side effects because that's my research I chose to write my report on in my chemistry class. Now I see apart of my report is that i****s like you all have no life and don't care who you tell. Smh. And dude your 56. I can't even say GROW UP. You're grown.... Get y'all lives together. "Sad"
