Oval Reddish Brown Pill Imprinted With 57 Is What

I found in sons room
It looks like an ibuprofen, but I've never seen on that looks like this. Its round more reddish and 57 imprinted on the other side. There's no lines nothing just 57 on one side.

Hi Michelle,

You had mentioned in your description that the pill is round, but in your topic title it says "oval"... Can you please confirm which shape you're referring to?

I get the sense that this is probably a different/newer batch of ibuprofen (hence the more reddish color), though I can't be for certain at the moment. I just know that manufacturers tend to change inactive ingredients on an undisclosed basis so it may have something to do with that.

If you're able to I'd suggest taking the pill into a local pharmacy to see if they recognize it. Odds are they'll know right off the bat if it's really ibuprofen or not.
