Oval orange pill with B 293 what type of pill is this ?

I'm the person who is inquiring about the orange pill B 293.. Why has my son been prescribed this medication when he's already on 3mg a day of risper done 300 mg 3x a day of Gabapentin and proporanol 3x a day 10,mg each?

This tablet is manufactured by Breckenridge Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 300mgs of Oxcarbazepine, which is an anticonvulsant that can also help with some types of mood disorders.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth.

Did his doctor give any reason for prescribing it? Was it supposed to replace one of the other medications?

My son has been diagnosed with scizofrenia general anxiety disorder auditory processing ( hallucinations he was having) ..was on a 51/50 hold due to taking adivan (8 at one time, to get sleep).. While at the hospital for nearly a week he was discharged to me and was prescribed risperdone Gabapentin and propranolol .. After being on this medication for 6 weeks, we went to see a local psychiatrist / doctor at the facility my son gets therapy at, and this Dr/psychiatrist said no more Gabapentin or propranolol ..said to take the 3,mg risperdone at night time only before bed with the oxcarbanotine at night too.. I don't understand why..
