Only Taking Prescribed Oxycodone Acetaminophen 10/325 But Tested Positive In Urine For Oxymorphone - Can Someone Explain This

I have crps/rsd cutaneous lupus and diabetes and was put on oxycodone aceteminophin 10/325 for pain, the other scripts i take daily are lantis. novalog pen, doxcyclaine, lisiniphrol., metformin, and voltaren gel. I tested positive for oxymorphone on urine screen 1322 ng/ml and cannot get a reply from anyone as to why this is happening, these are the only meds I take and at a loss here.

Your body converts some of the oxycodone into oxymorphone I think I read its like 15% or something. Your good as long as the levels aren't too high. If they're higher then they're supposed to be it could be a some kind of drug interaction making your body convert more of it than its supposed to. As long as the Dr don't say anything don't worry about it.

Oxymorphone and oxycodone are very similar medications and sometimes the test don't pick up the slight differentiation maybe u ate grapefruit that messed with the reaction or drink too much water or take another medication that messed with the results. If they're looking at your pharmacy list there are obviously going to see that you didn't fill anything like that and that it's a false positive. False positives happen I think because oxymorphone if I am correct is morphine, morphine, oxycontin, oxycodone, percocet, hydrocodone / vicodin, they all have the similar base ingredient of codeine so sometimes one version of codeine may be affected by another drug or something we eat or drink or whatever. Your best bet is to ask for a do over on the test and if it still shows up and you know you're clear have them do a blood test and if they choose not to go to your PCP or a urgent care right away get your blood drawn and then get the results that u can take to your physician to see blood test results that are definitive. Just a little FYI if you're out of meds and you're waiting on a doctor to figure out the truth ask wherever you go to to send the blood results in as stat and they should have the answers within 24 hours

I am prescribed 15mg 4x a day of oxycodone hcl. When my urine test is sent to the lab for levels is there a different metabolite that shows if you take different tablets?...i.e... instead of four 15 mg tablets, I took three 20mg tablets or six 10mg tablets? As long as it is all oxycodone and the correct dosage does it test the same?
