Omnacortil Tapering Side Effects

I am a patient of sarcoidosis I have been taking Omnacortil for the last one year. now I am being tapered off. Now I am getting spasms, depression, weakness in the muscles. My eyesight is getting weak Please advise is this normal ??

I a 23 year old patient with optic neuritis.
At the time I was pregnant so I couldn't get better treatment.currently I lost my child.so they started steroids...3days methylprednisolone,then oral prednisolone...
I lost my one eye vision.its like blurry.I am so anxious.I taken prednisolone 40mg for 5days,then 30mg for 5days ,then now I am taking 20mg for 10days.
Could it cause worsen?

My wife is diagnosed with Nuero optic myletis for the last 1 month. She is given Omnacortil 40mg (1-0-0) daily. She is feeling heaviness of body (feels like lead), and cramps in hands / legs that makes stick to bed. However before taking the tablet and 8hrs after taking the tablet she is able to move around a lot better. Additional observation is the Blood sugar level goes up to 240 after few hrs of taking the tablet.

Is this heaviness or cramps a side effect of omnacortil tablet or is an increased blood sugar level causing this ?

All the effect maintain in the related web page are correct all happens with my mother, one another fact is that swilling near belly.

Sir,
I am having a fever for past 15 days.doctor had tested every possible but the report was normal,so doctor giving me omnocotile 20mg in the morning and 15 mg in the evening for 1.5 months.
So kindly sugggest me is there is any side efffect....plz rply asap

My friend is suffering from hausen's disease. He is taking omnacortil for 1yrs. But it has effect him a lot. He has pain in his vein, headache,pain in shoulder,upset stomach, vomiting tendency,dry skin. Should he use this medicine or not..?

My wife also sacrodiasis patient. After two years of taking omnacartil doctor advised to stop after taking 5 mg alternate days for last two months. Now shie is experiencing severe body pains, swelling and pain at kees. She is totally dull and not able to do 10% of work which she used to do regularly. Now she is on ozaron and Musinack tablets(600mg twice a day). Please be in contact and inform me if any developments in this regard.My mail ID is - {edited for privacy}

I used Omnacortil 40 mg for 1 month, and sometimes 80 mg a day for wheezing problem. I got face swelling and 5 kg increase in weight.
Now i stopped the tablet immediately.
After stopping, I have sharp swelling of eyes, a bit of cold and swelling in leg fingers. Is it normal.
Need your advise to come out of the sideeffects of this tablet

Hi, I was diagonised with Adutl Onset Still Disease in Jun'12 end and started me on Omnacortil 90 mg from Jul'12 the dosage has been tapered and now i am 35 mg / day. and Mexate 20 mg. weekly once. Kindly let me know if I will be able to stop omnacortil and mexate and all the side effects caused by it will be reversed or not.

I am on a tapering dose of Omnacortile 15 gms a day. For UC and I want to know what is the right food for to avoid side effects specially for skin and eyes and stomach .

Hello,
My friend's son (5 years old) who has been diagnosed with Urticaria and Angeodema has been given Atarax ( 3 times 5 mg 7 days) and Omnicortil (7.5 mg 3 times for 3 days). Is it safe to give him Omnicortil given his age?

Hey..hi...doctor prescribed me to omnacortil10 when i appear him with tonsil problem and pain in throat. Its just 5 tablets which he had prescribed. Is it gud to take for such kind of problem?

please, please, please, do not take more than 2 max tapering dose, i am suffering from that (wrongly diognised by doctor) and gave almost 20 doses of one month each
after 8 years i am totally week, my immuno system is reached a bad stage i am getting breathing problem almost twice in a year & sinus for life time. - all this happened because of a very good doctor's idiotic work.
please take second even third opinion is not waste.

hi i had a scar below my nose 2 years back.doctor prescribed omnacortil-5.it reduced.but now ive got it again.so i started taking it again.but the scar has'nt gone completely.it just lightens.is it fine if i take omnacortil again.thank u

My son 15 years old has Immuno Thrombocyto paenia.He is advised from qualified Drs. to take Omnacortil 20mg tablet thrice a day(Total of 60mg/day).He takes Ranac twice to avoid gastric.What are the side effects I can expect?Every week we are going for platelet count.
We are giving him enough nutitious food including friuts.
Any other means to reduce the side effects of the drug in Natural Tjeraphy?
Please guide.

My daughter from 1.5yrs been affected with nephrotic syndrome. When ever she gets cold if antibiotic does not work for her she starts blotting . finally she has to be given with Omnocotil with 35mg for 2 weeks & 25 mg for alternative days for 1 month. Is there any side effects for using this & will cold come down by giving the steriods.

I sffered frpm high fever for 12 days. Bone marrow tests indicted Hypereosinophlic Syndrome. Treated with Omnacortil 60. from last week of February. Eosinophil count was brought to normal. The tappered down to 40
then to 20 and 15 and 10. Now I am taking Omnacortil 5.Recently after reducing the dose to 5 I am having side effects including swollen glands particulerly under the chin, throat, gorin and arm. Also I have developed rash around back of the neck and back of shoulder.

I am a male aged 75 years had by pass surgery 10 years ago. Being treated for Hypertension and Diabetes

I am 30yrs old and diagnosed with crohn's disease.i have taken omnacortil 40mg for 4 weeks,then reduced 5mg every week.its my 12 week i am taking omnacortil 2.5mg.now from last two weeks i am feeling pain in my knee and elbw joints, back,neck.is it the side effect of omnacortil and is it permanent or temprary?

MY LH IS SWOLLEN FOR THE LAST THREE MONTHS AND WHOLE BODY ACHES.I CANNOT LIFT LH/RH ABOVE MY SHOULDERS.MY KNEES PAIN SWEARLY WHILE I GET UP.my rhemotologist has prescribed OMNACORTIL 60 mg daily for one month.i am now worried about the side affects.
