Nitrofurantoin Mono Med

This medication was given to me because I continued getting urine infections after intercourse and nothing else was working for me. I was given this medication to take one pill after intercourse, just one time. I have to say that for the past two years I have never gotten another UTI. This medication is great. I love it. Am I the only one that this has worked for? I am diabetic and also take insulin. I also have not gotten anymore yeast infections.

Hello, Rosa! How are you? I'm so glad that you found something that works for you.

And no, you are not the only one that it has worked for, there have actually been quite a few people that have posted about having good experiences with it, but usually in a preventative manner, such as how you are taking it.

Most of the complaints I've read about it have been from those who are new to taking it and who are on it for just a short period of time to treat an infection, which makes sense, because their body isn't used to the medication.
