New Orange Subutex 153 Half Moon
UpdatedI can say from experience these new 153 are no good...I cant say it more clearly - They suck!! If you depend on relief from your daily dose of subutex like i do, then be ready for a major LET DOWN
Soooooooooooo True. I don't know what to do I hate these.
Yea I think they suck, white ones so much better
I just got these too and I am experiencing the same thing! Someone please help!
Horrible, i feel like they giving me sugar pills, seriously feel like they're not 8mg. I have cold turkey detoxed before and i really feel like im withdrawing slowly over this month that ive had them.
Sorry to hear about everyone's experience with these tablets... Reading all these reviews, including many on other related threads here, it almost seems to me as if the manufacturer (Actavis) has been diluting their medications across the board, from Norco to Subutex and perhaps others as well... So from my perspective, I get the feeling that they are putting less active ingredients in their pills to cut down on production costs and increase profits by keeping prices where they've been at. I'm not saying this is 100% true, but the enormous amount of feedback from dissatisfied patients kinda speaks for itself in my opinion.
I hope everyone here is able to get their doctor to specify a different manufacturer on the next refill. I wish you all the best of luck and good health as you transition to something better!
They helped me, and my husband. Im from TN so im just completely screwed over the new law. But if you're prescribed them I know here its just depends on the pharmacy you go to between those and the others..
What is the new law in TN? I live in a tri state area and there are rumors about all three states, some of the pharmacies lie, lie, lie. It comes down to they don't want junkies in their stores. I have two life long friends that work as pharm techs. They didn't know my situation...that I was addicted to oxycodone for years and had started on subutex. So we all go out to lunch and they started talking about 'all the junkies with their sub scripts' and how they like to f*** with their heads and tell them that their insurance wouldn't go through, that they couldn't fill new customers, out of state, out of town, the laws are changing...you get my point? It just disgusts me that the people admitting they are addicted and getting help are junkies but the ones coming in getting opanas and fent patches are just fine with them. I hate pharmacies, the little minimum wage b*****s that look down their nose at you because they have a lab coat on, but they can make or break your day...and I heard it from the horses mouths!
My mom takes Zubsolv. It's 5.7 of bupe and 1.4 of naloxone. They taste like mints and are in blister packs. I think they work great! But they are name brand, but luckily my moms insurance covers them. My insurance will only cover the suboxone pill form. But I'm happy with that.
I couldn't agree more. I have been using the hightech brand for the past 6 months. And i decided to try the new orange ones. And i also feel like im going thru withdrawls. I cant sleep. 8m nautious. My pain is so bad. I dont know what to do. Im only 3 days into my script. And cant keep going like this.
Can't believe I've gotten screwed by these giant orange subs. Either they really don't work or I'm having a bad reaction to what's in the filler. Can't believe all these people are saying how great they are, if I wanted a suboxone tab from back in the day I would have told my doc.
Everyone's different and yes I'm an addict, but u ppl kill. They're all the same. You're looking for a high. The orange Tex do taste like s*** though.
Well u do know there is a ceiling effect so I do not know what you taking but you ppl don't get it they are the same
Has anyone had issues cutting your Subutex dosage? I had been on 8mg 4Xs a day for 9 years until my insurance company cut me to 3 a day last year, since when did they become DR's? I'm on the new orange surfboard Subutex, no different than the others, takes away my pain.
They work just fine on me! Went from taking 4 80m.g. oxycontin pills to just 8 m.g. of subutex every 12 hours The Orange balf mooners are the TRUTH!
No one needs to be on 32 mg of bupernorphine ever. Even if they have pain. I take 4mgs a day and have
bad back pain and I'm good.
I just got Subutex (half moon 153) and I wanna know, do you have to wait if you took opiates 1 hr ago?
Yea they do suck i just got um and they make me feel sick i think suboxone may b better than those new oval 153s
I'm the same way. I had been getting the strips and I was taking about 1 to 2 mg per day, went to the doctor and got the new orange subs and I was excited!! Because I told the doc I had been taking around 12 mg a day so he prescribed me 1 1/2 8 mg tabs a day! I'm glad I exaggerated because they just don't do the trick. I used to love those white ones, it's so weird that half the people posting like them and half don't?
I 100% AGREE!! These orange ones are just awful! I much prefer the white ones... (the 8mg ones, sublingual) they work so much better AND those would last me up 2-3 days by cutting into 4 pieces..... now just 2 days ago I got the orange ones and I'm already almost out! :( I only got 6 out of my 30 prescription... and I have only 2 left!!! Normally 6 white ones would last twice that amount of time. Can you or ANYBODY refer another pharmacy? I'm in Florida... ft myers fl (33916) my zip code. PLEASE HELP!! These SUCK SO BAD!!! I just want to go back to the white round ones again. They are still 8 mg but THEY WORK!! I hate the orange surfboard looking ones. PS.... I'm not feeling well and I have to work today.... Uuuugghhh!!!
Go to Cvs they carry the white ones made by Mylan. Just got my script and yes they are way different than the orange halfmoons

People think, oh it's in your head. They're the same thing.
Well I have Vesicoureteral Reflux where if I drink pop or take bubble baths the acid shoots back up into my kidney. Causing a kidney infection. So I looked at the different fillers in the 153's and something to do with the ingredient that makes it orange, causes me to have a kidney infection. I've been taking the 54 411's and they have helped me tremendously, saved my life back in 2013. But no dealing with this shortage it honestly is almost triggering.
Re: allleggs (# 9)
What did you end up doing?
Re: Daddy (# 39)
Thank you thank you!!!! I just got these orange 153's after always liking the 54 411 and hating anything else pretty much and I'm so glad you posted this reply
The actavis 153 and roxane 54 411 are the best. I've had them all from rhodes to hitec, to sun pharma, mylan, you name it. Those are the ones that are garbage, not moons or 54 411, and I've taken them for 7 years straight and have not missed a dose or failed a drug panel.
Re: tim (# 37)
I lied, it's the end of the month and I'm dying.
Re: please no activas (# 21)
Look, people telling nighmare stories, settle down. It's Placebbo. I have taken them for 8 straight years and just got my first script of these. I was getting the 54/411 ones, and I will be honest, I was worried, but these work just fine for the purpose.
Re: Bernstein (# 14)
Can you elaborate lol so I’ve been taking Roxanne 54411 for 10 years I need to get off I know! But now it’s way ward and it takes the pharmacist ordering several times before they even send half my script now they are saying I can only get the pink hot moon, I hate switching the little arrows suck and have more filler. I don’t know what to do.
Re: Kimmie (# 28)
Why would i turn up on obscure med board searching for amswers as to why I'm on toilet /chilled /hot, sweaty /muscle aches/nausea /headache/anxiety attack that even Ativan can't penetrate? And dilated pupils? I've been on this recovery program almost 3 years, only recently having trouble obtaining plain buprenorphine without naloxone, changed from cvs to Walgreen, changed from a Mylan 8mg to the Activis 8mg, 2-3 days changeover suddenly very ill, take a Mylan, symptoms gone. You explain it. The 153's have strong citric acid taste, but really have no bupe taste at all, it's just bitter like alka seltzer citric acid. Need a solution.
Re: Cartermom5 (# 29)
Took 3 days from switchover of the good medication to feel the w/d fully.
Do you have specific experience with Ativis 153 8mg buprenorphine? I have no reason to want to have bad experience. These are bunk. Need a solution, as i cant get another script for 3 weeks.
Re: Joseph (# 31)
I totally agree, this is a class action case. These feel like they have no active ingredients whatsoever. Reminds me of those horrible Indian vicodins from 10 years ago. Did you find a solution? Can you take a little more?
