Neuropathy - Legs And Feet (Top voted first)
UpdatedI have Diabetes Type 2 (25 years). Three years ago, neuropathy started and now I cannot stand the pain. I started taking Lyrica one year ago, insulin (26 units 2 years ago, Metformen 25 years ago. The pain continues at a greater pace. I have had accupuncture for 3 months. I have used Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother for 6 months. It worked for a while and then less and less. Is there any thing else that I can try?

Hello, Pete! How are you?
What is your current dose of Lyrica? Your doctor may be able to raise it for you.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache and weight gain.
You may also want to ask them about other pain medications, even non-narcotic ones may help give you more relief.
Since 2/19/2015 my doctor has raised the strength of Lyrica to 200 mg 3 times a day. This increase has helped in a great way. Also, I am applying a cream called Nerve Repair. It takes the pain away for about 12 hours so I apply it and the other creams two times a day. The acupuncture has helped to the point that I have it every two weeks. Now I am getting relief!!!
Iam diabetes pation since two year.past six month efected by neuropathi pain on my feet and hand iam hard worker10hours a day my age 66 icont sleep in night pain killing me. past one eeek i had liopoc acid 100mg but nothing benifit anybody help for me
Anyone else have numb toes and slight numbness to their knees with no burning and no pain? The cause of it is unknown.
Since my last message I have added a third cream that I apply to my feet and legs 3 times a day. It is a foot cream produced by Amway. The first application is the Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother (a clouded substance in the vinegar). Then, I apply a Nerve Renew from Neuropathy Treatment Group (in Boise Idaho). The combination of the 3 creams helps to calm down the nerves in my feet and legs. I make the application three times a day (morning, noon and bedtime). It works for me. I hope it will help others.
Everyone talks about neuropathy in hands and feet mostly due to diabetes.
Well I had a slight stroke about 6 months ago.
I have since experienced neuropathy on my whole left side, especially
my arms and hands. Also, it really bothers me at night when I'm sleeping.
I wake up with my hands and arm asleep (like when you sit on your feet
too long).
So although I'm probably not as much in (pain) I still have the problem
every day.
I was told it would just go away by itself. Well, it hasn't.
Anybody have anything similar?
I'm going to try the apple clear vinegar and see if that does anything.
I also have neuropathy and had it under control by taking Lasix keeping the water out of my legs. some days I could have went without medicine for a week at a time but now I am on amlodipine which causes ankle and feet swelling increasing my neuropathy pain to intolerable. I take gabapentin and Norco. I had already taken Norco for back pain and neck pain so they added Gabapentin for the neuropathy and it used to work but since the high blood pressure medicine was added sometimes I feel like I just want to chop off my toes and let all the pressure out it is that bad. Twice they wanted to change my medicine to losartan or Lisinopril and I have told them a hundred times those medicines cause me angioedema and my throat swelled up. So I am trying to find a way to stay on amlodipine but take away the water build up in my legs. I am going to ask if I can take Lasix with it and hope to God that it works
I also am a diabetic with neuropathy in my feet and some in my hands. I take Tramadol (4)a day and lyrica 200mg. 2 x a day with lasix. I recently have been using a lintament from Walkins that seems to give some relief. I just started to week to use the apple cider vinegar to see is it works. I have to be careful what I take because of my kidneys so the vinegar may have to be taken out. I also recently bought the revitive pulse shown on TV. It didn't do much for the neuropathy but it did take my restless leg sydrome away. Well that's my story in a nutshell, guess there is many of us out there with this neuropathy.
Since February 2017, my neuropathy has become stronger, so I tried a new foot pad to see if that would help the pain in my feet and legs. It is a gradual process. I bought the pads from the Good Feet Store and it has made a difference!
I am experiencing a heavy-weighted feeling while walking and standing, and I am suffering with hypertension and diabetes but both are under full control. Please suggest a suitable medicine for nerve weakness.
