my 78 year old father has been taking naproxen for 3 years. because he had elevated levels of an enzime the Dr. took him off naproxen. what kinds of withdrawl symptoms will he have.

This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, the FDA warns that it may carry side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation.

And yes, with long-term use, suddenly stopping it could cause rebound symptoms that could include rebound pain.

How are you all doing, now? Has there been any change?

I ve been taking aleve gel caps daily for last 6 to 10 months and am experiencing horrible muscle pain and spasms. Wondering if stopping aleve is a contributing factor

I have the same question. I have been off of Aleve for a week now in prep for surgery and am having terrible back pain, muscle spasms/quivering, general aches.
Is this from withdrawal. I have taken 2 Aleve twice daily for about a year
