My Prescription Was Stolen Now What?

Me and my wife recently had a birthday party for my son. After the party I went into the bathroom to take one of my suboxone and i noticed the perscription was stolen. I have not reported it to the police or my doctor yet. I am not sure what to do. I dont want to ask my doctor for a replacement script because I dont know if I can get kicked out of the program. This program is the last chance for me to get my life straight and it is working so far but I am scared if I dont replace them that I run a risk of relapsing. My next appointment to get my regular refill is three weeks away. Has anybody ever delt with a situation like this or have any real advise on what to do?
Yesterday april 19th I went to see my dr and on my way back through downtown these girls asked if I had anything to sell. I said no and they jumped me. I need to know how to write/file a police report online for stolen meds?
Re: Pat (# 2)
You are still an addict. Just to a different drug. Love when ppl say I'm clean but are on Methadone. If you're on Methadone, then you are not clean and still a drug addict.
Re: Hello (# 114)
Tramadol really for pain?? You got to be joking. You have nothing when it comes to real pain then if a non-narcotic that has no opiate in it helps you. Those people are giving it away for free because they are a BS medication. My doctor says they use tramadol to catch liars who are in no true pain, this is a proven FACT! That's what my doc uses to weed out the fakers. I know this because he is my grandfather and is the main doc of the office.

Do ir research dude ur brain receptors nwver repair from the damage the pain pills they fed us did to our brain i am recovered 5 yrs and will have to be on suboxone rest of my life DO RESEARCH BEFORE U JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER AND Y U WORRIED ABOUT IT IF U AINT BERN HERE IN OUR SHOES U DONT KNOW BUTT OUT
Re: Jane (# 9)
Wow, you obviously have not been an addict, and no, neither medication makes you feel high (that's kind of the WHOLE point of them)...You can take your judgmental butt off that high horse and run along. You have no idea what you are talking about! I'm sorry but if it wasn't for methadone my brother wouldn't be alive today and I don't care if he has to be on it for life it is better than him going out and sticking a needle in his arm. It's not trading one addiction for the other. He is able to live his life on methadone because YOU CAN NOT FEEL HIGH ON IT! Stick to what you know.
Re: Jane (# 9)
I agree with you 100%. I took opiates for about a year and in May I decided to come clean. I went into rehab for 9 days and came home on Suboxone, mind you this was in May. I am now being weaned from the Suboxone and my doctor is cutting my dose every time I see him. This was at my request. I do not want to be addicted to this drug anymore than I wanted to be addicted to opiates. I could not imagine being on this drug for even one year. I'm like you, I don't understand the 10-year use of Suboxone or methadone or any other kind of recovery method. It is a crutch and people lean on that crutch to continue feeling high and they think it's okay because it's a prescription. Let me tell you, you're not any better now than you were when you were a full-blown addict. Only difference is it's not costing you out of your pocket because your insurance is paying for it and you're not having to struggle and get it on the street, you're getting it legally but it still doesn't make it right. It's time to grow up and get off the pacifier. Thank you Jane for bringing these things to light.
Re: Pat (# 2)
If someone stole my prescription and overdosed I would laugh my ass off, because the scumbags that steal or buy prescription drugs to feel high, make it hard for people that really need help. I have ZERO sympathy for people that OD. Just my opinion. Have a wonderful day. Don't mean to sound brash but when you are a pain management patient and get put through the ringer because of some stupid kid or drug addict OD'ing, you tend to have no sympathy for STUPID.

Re: Humble (# 118)
Humble, there is little to no chance your doctor will write you another prescription before they are due. Your doctor may not prescribe these meds to you any longer.
Please don't post lies, they will NOT refill or give you anything until next appointment.
No, you are screwed, your meds needs to be keep in a safe if you have kids or bad ppl in your house.
My adderall n topamax have been stolen. I just went to take n noticed they r gone. What do I do? I have filed a police report but my dr is unavailable til tuesday
Oh bs suboxone got me high as a kite. A guy i knew took suboxone nodded off and crashed his car. The excuses and lies addicts make up to justify their habit is ridiculous...
PS: take a copy of the police report to the prescribing medical professional to get your prescription back or the amount that is missing. The police will need the med info and how many pills were taken so that your doc can restore your loss. The insurance company probably will not want to pay their fair share, but you can usually at least get your supply back where it's supposed to be.
I suggest that you do go to the police station and file the report rather than have them come to your house. You can tell them that you have a suspect. The police wouldn't have to cart him off unless you want them to. Have your daughter, hubby and the police report in hand to discuss if he is going to go into treatment and/or leave your house; or be removed. He does have a couple choices. Treatment is his best outcome in this program. A counselor once told me, "How can you tell when an addict is lying?" - "When their lips are moving" - so sad, but true.
I have just had a rx of tramadol stolen from me. I know who stole it and my husband and I gave him the chance to come clean and he did not. We went through his stuff while he was gone (I know this may be in bad taste but he is living in my house) and we found the rx with my name ripped off of it, but what it was, was the pill count and dosage on it with the circle and little mark above the pill count so I can identify it. I do plan on filing a police report but I'm scared he may hurt us or my daughter when we have the police escort him out. I do not like druggies or thieves. I'm just hoping with a police report I can get a replacement.
Suboxone can be eventually weaned-off of- IF and only IF- the person has made a mental connection to change their lives- ie: a 12-step program or the like. They have to be strong-willed, but it can be done. Unfortunately, a relapse is so easy IF they don't get a new set of non-drug using friends and have a support net to help them stay away from the bad stuff.
Call the police, they will
Come to your house and fill out a report...
Then you contact your doc, with that report.
I had that happen to me and I filed a police report. My Dr gave me a replacement script when I presented that to him. He said it was a one time deal however. Doc's just don't wanna feel their being conned. Plus maybe you'll find out who did it.
I filed a police report with a suspected perp. Then I was able to get Rx filled at full price. Will find out this week how to proceed. He was asked to leave - and he has been gone for 5 weeks, but called begging for a bed to sleep in after going out of town, getting a job, then getting fired from the job when his roommate put all his stuff out in the front yard and he left work to get it, they said not to bother to come back. So after sleeping in my car for several days he came crawling back home. Problem here is that my wife does NOT believe that he took my meds, so he's back. I have a different lock this time after I found out how easy it was to crack the Master combination lock (actually I broke it too as I can't reset the code). Anyhow, I'm stuck with him again as my wife makes me the villain and doesn't believe our - "her" son, stole the meds from me. I am not the keeper of my castle, but that's another whole problem.
