how to administer monocef injection i.v?

I am a diabetic on Actrapid and Insulitard. i have been diagnosed with pnemonia and have been prescribed Monocef I.V. -1 gm.-7 in number, once daily. What are the side effects of the drug. Pl. advise.

Monocef contains Cefonicid, a Cephalosporin class anitbiotic, used to treat various type so of infections.


These injections are usually give in the muscle, such as of the buttocks or upper arm.

If given via IV, it is injected through the IV into the vein.
