Mild Luminal Irregularities In Heart
UpdatedLeft coronary angiography and right coronary angiography. Coronary arteries: the coronary circulation is right dominant. Left main: No evidence of obstructive disease. LAD: lARGE. No evidence of obstructive disease. Left circumflex: Medium-large. Mild luminal irregularities. Right coronary: Moderate-sized. Mild luminal irregularities. Left ventricle: the estimated EF is 50 - 55%. Wall motion is normal; there are no regional wall motion abnormalities. I am told I have a cardiomyhopathy because my EF is 48% on echo and 50-55 on cath. I am 55 with hypertension and a LBBB. I don't know what to think, but I am worried sick because was told by one cardiologist that I am at high risk for sudden-death heart attacks, mostly commonly happening in my sleep. I drink very rarely and excercise four times a week for about 50 minutes and run at least one mile five days a week, an 8-minute mile-ish. How worried should I be with all this information? I research to find that LBBB can cause mis reades in EJ up to 17%. I also find that LBBB can induce a cardiomyopathy. Is CRT something that could reverse this?

Hi Rick,
Sorry to hear about your condition. From your description it sounds like you live an otherwise healthy lifestyle. Would you say that your diet has been pretty clean as well with regards to the high blood pressure/LBBB?
All I know is that if I were the one being told that I could potentially have a sudden death heart attack based on those figures, I'd probably stick to eating a primarily raw food diet and doing a lot of juicing with heart healthy fruits and vegetables (such as beets, kale, spinach, potatoes, asparagus, bananas, etc...) There are really an abundance of different fruits and vegetables that are good for your heart down to the cellular level.
If you smoke, that could also be a potentiating factor, but in my opinion you may have to evaluate more areas of your lifestyle in order to better determine the underlying cause for all this.
My Cardioigist say I have RCA irregularitie no percentage was mentioned, also said the heart cath procedure was normal post 18 yrs out of heart surgery in the LAD artery.. I'm confused as to how the procedure could be normal,,
After having a R-L Cath (LV+COR) the result indicate a.o.
Luminal Irregularities 10% Proximal lesion in LAD
" " 10% Mid lesion in RCA
" " 10% Mid lesion in CX
Aortic Stenosis. SOB, diastolic CHF
Is a low % number ( 10 ) better than ( 50 ) ?
i wouldnt worry to much i have an ef of 20 i work out 4 times a week and have been alive for 18 years with this condition i have stents in 2 arteries eat right do your cardio and go about your life
