I have been on Metoprolol 25 mg for a while now. The Dr just recently put me on Lisinopril because my BP was 145/100 in his office. It is not usually high at home. Can I take the Lisinopril in the morning and the Metoprolol at night? Also, will it drop my blood pressure too low by taking both?

To the original poster, those can be side effects of this medication, according to FDA reports, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

Norm, in your case, it would likely be best to leave them in the original containers to prevent such a problem.

Henry, there hasn't been a recall that I am aware of... did you miss doses, before your heart attack? Were there any other influencing factors?

i switched my metoprolol by mylan and my lisinopril by mylan to metoprolol by greenstone and my lisinopril by sandoz because it was cheaper but it sent me to the hospital. once arriving at the hospital they took my blood and said that i had a heart attack.. it was scary because i didnt feel right at all after i started takeing the generic forms. now im paying more for mylan but i feel as good as i did before i started taking the knock offs. is there a recall on these meds? and if not then they need to look into it.

I take both Lisinopril (10 mg daily) and Metoprolol (50 mg daily. 1/2 AM & 1/2 PM) These pills look a lot alike and it is possible to get them mixed up if not cautious. I did this about three times in a row last week. OOPS. But I'm still here and don't feel any side effects. I will be more careful in the future. Just thought I'd post this.
