Metolar Am 50 Side Effects

I am 53. BP normal with medicine. My weight is 52 kg. Ht 164 cms. Taking Metolar AM 50 for last 8 yrs. Can I continue it for life long. What precaution should I take to minimise the side effects. Pl adv.

There is really nothing you can do, if side effects, or long-term usage effects are going to happen, they are going to happen, no matter what you try.

However, it is far more dangerous to let your blood pressure raise out of control, than it is to take the medication, since severely elevated blood pressure could cause heart attack, stroke, or congestive heart failure.

The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

You should take it, as long as your doctor instructs you to do so.
