Methadone Pain Management Doctor On Long Island

I'm in need of s pain management doctor to prescribe methadone because I have used the methadone and it works great for my pain. Could anyone please help with advice on a doctors?

I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you.

Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, they should be able to refer you to someone.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Does anyone know of a good doctor in that area?

Yes , New York pain management in west babylon , babylon and Bayshore . They prescribed it to me for approx 8 years then had to switch physicians . Now on 30mg Oxycodone 4x a day. And wished I was back on 10mg methadone 4 x a day . Helped my pain better . Good luck

Hi Deb,my doctor was in smithtown ,now im trying to find a new one ,which isnt easy these days i have been on methadone for 6 years for pain ,cant seem to find a doctor .

Hi I have been prescribed oxycodone for my pain for 4 years. My doctor told me to find a pain management doctor because he cannot write scripts for it anymore and now i have no where to go. I am in setauket area and am wiling to travel if anyone can help. I am permanently disabled and have had multiple back surgeries and cervical issues. Any input would be appreciated.

I need to find a doctor that will take me off subutex n put me on methadone. I live in west babylon. Having a hard time being on this. I have chronic pain problems! Please help me! I was in pain management for several yrs with 1 dirty U/A. It's a long story. Random clean. I never used what they said i did. Thank u in advance.

Hi Anthony, I could really use your help, if you could possibly help me out with the doctor's number in west babylon. My dr is no longer writing for methadone and I have about a 2 weeks supply left, and after that I don't know what I'm going to do. Even my PA is trying to help me find someone.

I know of a Dr in Queens -right off exit 19 on LIE..def would give u methadone I been going once a month for almost a year- he writes you a script for the whole month and takes some insurances...if not then it's 70$ a month--do u need a Dr still? I'll gibe u his name..

Travis you will probably not have much luck finding a dr. To prescribe methadone in pill form. They where told not to do that anymore. Only can you get methadone in liquid form from a methadone clinic..I wanted to do methadone pills instead of suboxone treatment..so I'm will stay with subutex because I have no desire to wait in line for my medicine and have to go there every day

I'm in Florida and was thinking about using methadone treatment instead of suboxone treatment. I have found out NO DR..WILL PRESCRIBED METHADONE PILLS..ABSOLUTELY NONE NOWHERE u can only get it from A methadone clinic liquid form

Hello I am looking for a Doctor on Long Island that will write a methadone script...I get percocets from my doctor for my lower back pain when I don't need to take my body has been going into withdrawal. My friend gave me a few of his methadone and it helped so much better and didn't have the withdrawal. I asked my doc to give me methadone instead but he said he can't. I'm in Babylon but at this point I don't care where I have to go. I have looked up on line and can't find a doc...PLEASE HELP!

That's because no doctors in your general area of ny are prescribing this
Medication for pain control.Mandates and tightening regional restrictions have made it impossible to prescribe for anything short of cancer parients with an END STAGE diagnosis.The only other exception is when used as a detoxification or maintenance treatment
Protocol for opiate/opioid addiction. This is the reason your having such a difficult time finding anyone to prescribe it for you.

Hi Meli, I have been asking the same question for months no one answers, they say they have these drs and for whatever reason they won't give us the names, I'm a 50 year old woman with many issues and have been on methadone for several years. My dr stopped writing it and it's next to impossible to find a new dr that will write it. I just want to conine with my life and it's so hard. I do understand why they don't want to give out the name but maybe in a pm, well good luck if I find anyone I will let you know. Good luck
