Methadone For Pain Near East Tx

Does Methadone work well for Neuropathy in the hands & mouth? I'm in need of pain management in Tyler, Tx or around east Texas.

How do you administer the methadone? Is it in pill form? I have taken both pill form & liquid form, but the liquid form doesn't help pain and was not helping much. It even says that in PDR. I had a Dr that gave me methadone 10mg qid. I am a retired nurse. I have chronic pain from 3 places in my nerves, cervex, and lower gum area. My nerve pain stems from my fingers. I have peripheral neuropathy which is no fun now, cause I can tell where the nerve is. I have had Rxs from different Drs mostly in Dallas. I also had a patch, but brutran patches cost $700 if you have to pay for them. I never did because I have insurance now, but I have medicare & medicaid too. I just have to see if medicare is going to pay for it. I guess medicaid will if they don't. I am taking klopam & ambien for sleep. It's hard to sleep & i have so much anxiety, maybe due to this nervousness which may be the cause of this peripheral neuropathy. I shake from nerves, well i have spine problems too including a herniated disc, degenerated discs & some Rheumatoid arthritis which might have something to do with the pain too. The methadone pills last a long time. I have united healthcare dual policy. This other Dr has been given me norco 10mg now, but he wants me to go to a pain Dr soon. I haven't been here long in Tyler, Tx or Arp, Tx - that's where my daughter lives and that's why I am here.
