Meloxicam 15 Mg For Severe Lower Back Pain.

I severely damaged my lower back this morning. I have had back pain for some years now. I went and saw my Dr today who prescribed me Endone and Meloxicam 15mg, my Dr is aware that i suffer stomach pain when i take anti inflammatory medication. He did advise me that these tablets are okay to take. I am unsure what to do as I do have stomach ulcers, and I need the inflammation in my back to go away.

Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it can cause stomach irritation and ulceration, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and increased risk of bleeding.

Thus, it may be best to take it with an antacid to protect your stomach, if your doctor approves of your doing so.
