Melmet Sr 1000 Mg

Doctor has prescribed Melmet SR 1000 - one in the morning and one at night after food am nervous to take 1000 mg can I change it to 500 mg twice a day without consulting my doctor. Please advise - Thank you

You should take the dose that your doctor has instructed you to take, in order to ensure the best results for your health.

The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence, stomach pain, and hypoglycemia.

Are you on any other medications? Are you diabetic?
