Melmet 500 Mg Tablet Side Effects

i am taking melmet tablet for PCOD problem ....do we get weight gain on taking these melmet tablets?

Melmet contains the active ingredient Metformin and actually, if it helps resolve the insulin resistance that can cause PCOD/PCOS, then you should start losing weight while taking it.

But either way, it should not cause any gain.

I am suffering from Type 1 diabetes, doctors have prescribed Gluformin G1 500, in the morning and Melmet - SR 500 mg in the evening. I feel my sugar level is in control. Instead of taking these two tablets one doctor prescribed Amaryl mv 1mg, Is it OK to stop taking Gluformin Gl 500mg, and Melmet SR 500mg, and take only Amaryl mv 1mg?
