Medication An Treatment For Depression And Graves Disease

If someone is being treated with fluvoxamine and are then diagnosed with graves disease could the fluvoxamine also be treating the graves disease?

I'm totally stressed out do to back pain, I'm so mixed up I just got put on GABAPENTIN 500MG/PYRIDOXINE10mg two every night what is this drug use for? (Stress) but I'm also on VENLAFAXINE 150 mg one a/day I believe for stress! Ok what is going on? One DR for pain management is for back he's got me taken GABA B6 500/10 them my reg DR has me on venlafaxine aren't these both for stress? Help I don't want to over dose! I've called DR but no replies :-( please help me with understanding why both? I think both are treating my Depression,are both DR giving me drugs for same thing?

Hi Rhonda,

Fluvoxamine is an antidepressant, so I don't think it will fully treat an autoimmune disorder like Graves Disease. It may however be beneficial for treating certain symptoms associated with Graves Disease, such as anxiety and other things relating to hyperthyroidism.
