Medicaid Louisiana Doctors That Are Suboxone Licensed (Page 2) (Top voted first)

I had been on Suboxone for almost 8 years. In my opinion it is a wonder drug compared to all the opiates that the pain clinics are all too willing to prescribe .I have been out of my Suboxone for a week & a half. I feel like I am dying. I can not sleep. I have a 5 month old new baby boy. I can hardly pick him up due to the pain that I am in. I hurt all over. i have been so nauseated. My doctor who 's visits were cash bases only, however medicaid would take care of the actual prescription of 60, 8 mg. At one time I WAS PRESCRIBED 4, 8 MG SUBS A DAY. i WOULD KILL JUST TO HAVE A QUARTER RIGHT NOW TO FEEL LIKE NORMAL AGAIN. My doctor decided that he no longer wants to deal with any one with medicaid due to the fact that his office does not "LIKE TO HANDLE PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS " REALLY ......SO I am guessing that he really never gave a s*** about his patients at all because this is a horrible feeling. I would never wish this feeling on anyone. I really need to find a doctor in LOUISIANA south, that will prescribe this medication. Can you please help me?

Go to the link below and choose where you live. Then call the drs that are listed and ask if any of them take Medicaid. If you have Medicaid through a Bayou Health Plan, go to that health plans website and put the names of the drs that are listed at the link below. But, be sure and call to verify that they take Medicaid Only because most of the drs listed on the health plans websites and Bayou Health don't take Medicaid Only.

mary, there are a number of states that will take a baby when they find that the mother had used drugs. The drugs do not have to be illegal.

christy, go to the link I posted in Reply #15. You will have to call the drs in your area and ask if they take Louisiana Medicaid as well as your health plan.

What's his name? Needing a dr that accepts Medicaid. Husband has been on Suboxone for several years and he does not want to go back on the opiates.

I was on methadone for 10 years for chronic pain . Then because of the dea my dr in Houston shut his office because the dea wanted to control how much pain Medes he could give out.
I was given other medications but very mild . Did get on subxone but he does not give me the relief methadone did.
There is a dr Allen in Beaumont Texas that gives suboxone.
Does anyone know of a dr in south Louisiana that will treat with methadone ?

There are a few look up jeff care in gretna I believe is the name of one and there is a few others that are in kenner metairie area too just google walk in jefferson parish suboxone clinics dr mai. I may have that spelling wrong let me know if you find them. They are like $250 for the first visit.

There’s a dr in Lafayette that very recently started taking Medicaid patients. You gotta go fill out a suboxone application at dr. Uhrich’s.

Hi, Todd! You can Google Suboxone licensed physicians in or near your area and you'll see several if not many choices. That's the quickest way to go. There's also a suboxone.com website. They offer a locator tool also. Hope this helps!

There is a place in Grand Coteau Louisiana that accepts Medicaid for Suboxone. It is called "Yes I Can", and the number is 337-662-3737.

Thanks for the information. However, there are several doctors that accept Medicaid for the visit as well as pays for the medication. It's approximately 4 or 5 of them that I know of for sure.

I am in same predicament . Damaged back in wreck in 2000. I have been on Suboxone 8 strip 3 a day for 4 yrs. It helps with pain. It is a wonder drug for chronic pain. I was on Lortab 10 / 750 for yrs and I hated the way it made me feel so I went to a doc who put me on this. I take a urine test every month I always past . I’m 61 going on 62 on Dec 2. I have suffered with pain chronic pain for almost 20 yrs.

This is the best med for pain and I have 5 things wrong with back and spine and neck. Plus I went through a nine hour surgery in Aug. 2001 and the surgeon clipped my sciatic nerve. So that surgery was a waste. He went to repair discs and put a fusion and I had now today have 3 more bulging discs and spinal stenosis, spurs, sciatica, and found out I have scoliosis of the neck and spine. So I’ll never do another surgery. I have to live with the pain. Suboxone helps me do that. I used to work two jobs with the state and UPS. Now I’m on Disability. I haven’t worked since I got hurt.

I believe she was doing crooked stuff under the table so to speak. That's why she jumped and dismissed every Medicaid patient and told us our doctor no longer was employed there. I've read online before where she has had lawsuits in the past and lost the case.

Try kratom. Don’t go back on suboxone. That drug is the devil. I have been off of it for a month and 1/2 and I still feel like crap. Good luck to you!!
